I thoroughly disagree. with the "forced" talking
as an Australian, that's how we talk and how we sound. claiming that Australian are forcing it, is ridiculous
does LA DISPUTE force their Michigan accent?
does APOLOGIES, I HAVE NONE force their London accent? or ENTER SHIKARI force their Hertfordshire accents?
does IDLES force their Bristol accents?
if an artist is from Australia, they should sound Australian. it's not a must, but it is something that makes sense.
My Music utilizes my Australian accent, because, shockingly, I am Australian.
so yeah, ridiculous comment.
Sorry champ, im from Tasmania so yeh pretty qualified to speak on the matter so you can stop using "we" like im from Brazil or something and don't know any better lol
and yes a lot of bands force their accent into their music unnecessarily like i said, camp cope, georgia mac, smith street band by far some of the worst offenders going around. its like nails on a chalkboard hearing their forced "aussie" pronunciation of words. it sounds really lazy and bogan.
some bands the accent comes through naturally (Lilly Allen, ROAM, Saves the Day) and some its completely hidden and hard to tell they are from when they start singing (ChVrches, Neck Deep, Sigrid) which im sure could turn it on if they wanted to sound like how they speak for the sake of it like the aforementioned bands i listed.
Amity Affliction, Between you & me, Stand Atlantic, Trophy eyes, Ocean Grove are just a snippet of bands that dont in anyway shape or form sound "Australian" like you claim is just natural. They just sing and could be from anywhere in the world like most bands because singing usually dilutes or completely masks regional variations in the English language. Its just fact!
you are obvs a fan of those bands which is why you are so butt hurt but dont try and tell me that they aren't hamming it up because they are and they sound fucking ridiculous.
stay salty

i love CAMP COPE
and i think... yep, i love this!
at least this chick sings. Its like camp cope are too obsessed with trying to maintain their aussie accent so their songs just sound like "forced talking" . they aren't the only offenders tho (smith street band, im looking at you)

Imagine thinking that downvoting people who dont rate a bands new music is the moral high ground.
A Day to Remember play a Pop Punk song, fuck me, the cheek of it. the kids: "GO BACK TO YOUR ROOTS"
The Used whisper for 3 minutes over finger clicking and xylophones and its revolutionary

People complaining about how they're not as heavy as they used to be is TRADITION for every upcoming ADTR album!

Damn, thought this was like a Blink B-sides or remix album for a second based on the art. How wrong i was

anyone know why the track "Low" was not included on this album?

3 minutes ago, dewey duck said:im aware m8, it just seems overly unnecessary and pointless to reference the track based on that instead of simply wasting time. It literally opens with "WASTING TIME" but hey lets just colloquially refer to a song as something that does not even feature in the lyrics at all for no apparent reason but to be edgy

But at least it feels like they're still nicely maturing and exploring new ideas and I hope they can somehow transform into a more chill inducing band, which the closer exactly did for me, god I wish this opens the gate for upcoming material sounding more like that.
"Eternal Summer" ?? the track is called Wasting Time, dont see why you would feel the need to reference it like that. Bit lame

When they signed ISMFOF that was during the myspace crab/crunkcore era. The rest of what Epitaph signs is like their flagship hardcore, punk etc.
Now this emo rap is blowing up, especially ith the deaths of XXX, Peep, and Juice WRLD. I know that basically every "major indie label," now has at least 1 emo-rapper on their roster. Fueled By Ramen has nothing nowhere, epitaph has this guy, hopeless has dying in designer. I don't think Fearless has one just yet....but it's only a matter of time I am sure....
whats your point? it seems like you just wanted to name drop? cool
