my god, The Ataris was one of my GO-to bands in the early 2000's. When i burned a CD back in the day, they always had good tunes to put on the disc LOL.
After the line up changes and "Welcome to the Night" album they fell off the earth. Everytime I hear "In This Diary" it still brings me back to those glory days!

Craig Mabbitt put alot of weight on during quarantine in that video

Not their best material. I had low expectations after the singles. It has stuff better than the average listen out there.. but there are no unique songs/ memorable riffs to remember this album by. It just seems like they jammed for days and threw an album together. Any song could fit in as a filler on past releases
Well....... strike 1 for the new drummer, This is not the way to grab our attention

Pretty Disappointed in this one. Been a fan of their past 3-4 albums, i think this one really lacked melody

pretty good listen, Never heard of these guys till i saw an article the other day and they looked like A Clockwork Orange droogs, so i thought they were worth a listen
-
was that track fixed?
-
@DisturbedOne ya they did say a double album, but i think they were meant to release it in two seperate parts. just like the country covers album. Dez said they want to have enough material to release something at least every year from now on

she really went off on that chorus. love lacey's vocals. Flyleaf flamed out without her!

@relocator there is no new vocalist. the vocals are Wayne's uncompleted recordings that have been remastered in the studio with new music. As for the live shows they've been using Edsel Dope of DOPE. They supposedly have 2 albums worth of Wayne's leftover material to release this year in two parts.
They're undecided what the future holds for the band.. they could use Edsel.. they could use a bunch of guest vocalists.. who knows

pretty much on the par of Atreyu when they shifted their sound dramatically on Lead Sails Paper Anchor. Still some good production, I will just have to give it a couple listens to see if it sticks
-
cool. back to more heavier vocals. I just couldn't get into the last album much.. some of the songs felt too short and it was kinda generic with the King theme
These guys are talented excited for this one!

sounds like Clawfinger

It's cool they continued the into from "I'm A Fake" many years ago into the "Heartwork" interlude. some realy cool tracks. "Bloody Nose"> "1984"> "Darkness Bleeds">" Wow, I Hate This Song">"Obvious Blase". i didnt really care for the "The Lottery" track like everyone else, i think its too excessive towards the end.
I read they recorded almost 2 albums worth of material, still a couple more tracks to hear with Mark Hoppus also.. it sounds like we'll be getting an extensive deluxe effort sometime in the near future
-
Love these guys. always some good tunes. The weakest track to me is the guest with Rivers Cuomo it seems they played it safe on that one. "Radical" is a cool track that would fit into any of their previous albums. I think they could've added a bit more electronic/atmosphere in some tracks but they closed pretty well on "I'm A Wreck" bringing an almost early NIN vibe towards the end!
-
Sick album. even on first listen. my only gripe is i wish it had 2-3 more tracks, but i get it.. these songs are pretty technical
Glad they're well back from the low low's of Vengeance Falls and Silence in the Snow. The newest drummer Alex shows how good these guys can be, I believe they are at their peak at this moment. Imagine if my guys in Bullet For My Valentine had a drummer like this :(
-
Good shit! finally back with some good song production, glad they went back to the studio with Feldmann. Definitely alot of Lies For The Liars era throwbacks in this. My favorite track on first listen is Wow, I Hate This Song. "The Lighthouse" track with Hoppus is just cheese

nice Puddle Of Mudd cover actually

Really good album for The Strokes. Hopefully the boys in The Killers bring some magic back into their upcoming May release also
-
@Burst i know, whats with these guys re-releasing stuff with just one new track each time. They were supposed to have a full length out last Octoberish. whats the deal?? Either way i'm excited to hear the debut!

@ggl3dde ya definitely "Pandora" . "One Last Kiss" "Here I Stand" were awesome at the time, but that was going on 14 years ago now may be a little dated. After the early stuff " Let's Get Outta Here". "Legends" were pretty catchy tracks

Kill the Lights - Into The Pit [Single] (2020)
in Singles

100% positive this is Kill The Lights?? They haven't teased anything on Instagram. Very thrashy. maybe it was a big influence of the Threat Signal member. Lamb Of God's "Laid To Rest" riff right from the start
