I really really want to like it but I can't.
The fact that it got shelved for what has to be a bullshit reason of artwork doesn't make it any better. How do you go some artwork as Sick as Homesick or Bad Vibrations to... this, and state it's the reason for the delay?
Given this is the 4th track off the album, there needs to be some prime bangers in here (moreso than Mindreader and Resentment) or I think this'll be a miss from me. The vocals seem too pushed back in the mix in parts.
I dunno, I hope it grows on me cause I've been on the hook for this album for far too long now.

This is 100% Oops, All Bangers.
What an album.

I was at the Bristol gig and it was honestly one of the best gigs I've been to. Really looking forward to this - Spencer's voice is just so good!

I still think his talent is wasted in FFDP but if he can still put tunes like this out, it's not such a bad thing. Always have some time for his brand of fretboard wankery.

Fuck me... I know 2020's thrown a LOT of curveballs but this was the last thing I expected to happen.
Pretty standard SOAD music, Will chuck some cash towards the fundraiser for it. As for the potential of a full album...well I suppose we can't write that off as impossible now?

The remastered/cleaned up tracks sound so much better! Not that they sounded bad to begin with.

I'll give it a go. Never heard these guys live, but I really enjoyed Post Traumatic as an album. Thanks!

I'm so gutted that we didn't to see them this year with Covid and all that but they're absolutely top of my list for whenever gigs happen again. I'm still kicking myself for sleeping on this album and the band as a whole for 18 months before giving it a random play and falling in love with it.

I am beyond excited for this album to drop, I need Ataxia V so badly!

Without a shadow of a doubt. All 3 have been complete bangers.

Have the special edition Vinyl of this arriving tomorrow hopefully. While I was at the Cardiff gig and not the London one, every time I've seen Dev has been a fucking incredible experience. Especially seeing Z2 in full at the Royal Albert Hall.

This is utter garbage... I'll just listen to Deathgrip and a couple of tracks off Lead Sails and forget they did anything past that I think. What a shame.

Thanks! Always happy for more Bad Religion

Man, their version of Welcome Home is haunting. I'll be giving this a full listen.
-
Its...really not good in my opinion. Sounds all over the place - no consistency. Home sounds like another attempt at a Snuff/ZZYZX Road and it just doesn't work for me.
A vinyl for the shelf but I think that will be it tbh. Disappointing.

This is fucking siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick!

Not gonna lie, I'm quite disappointed by the full album. Given it a few listens and it seems like it was designed to be a stage show or musical. It's got a very different feel to The Source or THE. It's great hearing Tom Baker as the narrator but I don't think a proper narration like this works.

Aw, Mini heart attack thinking it was the full album there. thanks though!

Sounds a little half cocked to me.
-
Thanks! Loved Atoma and it sounds like they're following on in that same sound
-
Oh fuck yes! Thanks!

Eh, It's nice to have some rarities but can't say it's floored me in any way really. It's nice to have a decent copy of Linoleum Knife though.
Hopefully a full record might be on the cards soon.

Been looking forward to this, Thanks!

11 hours ago, Grayfox said:These recordings sound exactly the same as the originals. I know it's a remaster, not a remix, but these sound like they haven't been touched. And if they have, it's minimal at best. Compare these with the originals and it's pretty clear that not much has been done at all. The original recordings sound good as they are, but I'm not sure how they sound beautiful in comparison, because there is no comparison to be made. This is a reissue with a bonus track and 4 re-recorded tracks. I'm not exactly sure why it wasn't marketed as such.
Pretty much this. I listened to both side by side for Swim, and I couldn't hear a whole lot difference. Really disappointing, and thats even before you touch the vile re-recordings.
God damnit Anders.
