One of sickest, most original, out there bands of all time. Tim defined modern emo with Cap’n Jazz and then smashed it apart and reshaped it over and over again with each new Joan of Arc release, sometimes into something beautiful, other times into something hideous, but always looking forward. Never falling into a predictable formula.

oh woah i had no idea. i have literally skipped over this band so many times without realizing this connection, which should have been a connection enough to check out this band each and every time! thank you for the knowledge:pray:

  2. So i didn't hate the last album but it didn't do very much for me. But barreling into this head first, I'm actually quite pleased. It's got a little bit of everything and listening to the little details with vocal melodies and overall song building, im sold. Easily on repeat for the rest of the year. AOTY? We'll see, it IS catchy as hell.

  3. like a couple of comments prior, not something id expected but I am also down with this style of music anyways so.. im into it. Definitely sense it is as a Covid quarantine type song where none of the members need to be together or just a few of them put it together and here we are with some soap

I just grabbed this one off Soulseek earlier today after a recc from a buddy, can't say there's anyone out there that sounds anything like this band (to be fair, I have not heard Cheeto's Magazine). I thought your description was as close to accurate as we're gonna get. Great upload, be sure to check it out everyone!

and here i thought i was one of the few that still uses soulseek. heck yes:like::like::like:

also i guess i need to be checking out this album a little more in depth. the single fuckin rips

  5. i cant see how anyone can complain about this.. this band has been developing and evolving their sound for years. yes this sounds like it could be a track off of The Spark. and while yes, The Spark was super poppy on recording, it was an entire different scenario seeing any of that album live. Honestly some of the most crowd-wide, mosh worthy music ive ever witnessed (that isnt just some style of straight ass metal). I feel this track and those to come are going to be no different. my boys, here they come!

I used to play some shows with the vocalist years and years ago when he was in a metalcore band.

side not check out the vocalists other project parting ways their super sick too!

are we talking take the earth beneath us days?

also parting ways are a great bunch of dudes and i cant wait till theyre actually allowed to release the album theyre sitting on!

  7. it makes me so happy to watch these two (courtney and mike and i suppose the rest of the band..) gain momentum from such humble beginnings (Unicron and fall in archaea). so many of the early years of my music promotion days were spent dealing with their bands coaxing them into coming to my small northern city where we would maybe have 50=60 kids show up tops.

Flash forward to several years late and my pals are releasing singles online to a much larger audience than i could have ever provided. Im so happy for them, im so proud of them <3

  8. After listening to this album a few times through i can honestly say it gets pretty boring part way through. cut the album in half and listen to each piece on its own and your good. even listen to each track sporadically and youre extremely golden. the singles dont do the album justice, the first two songs prior to one of the singles (the second single if im not mistaken) are so good and lay the groundwork for your enjoyment of the album. and seeing others comment about vocals there were honestly times where i thought to myself "oh damn if there was someone just wailing away over these sick licks, THAT WOULD BE GREAT" it would be great. I even thought maybe the pretentious god himself, jonny craig could suffice. but what we have its an album that starts strong, but ends bland (bu not bad overall!!!). i liked it, glad i bought it on vinyl. would recommend to anyone that is a fan of this band.

im also open to discussion about this shit. it would force me to listen to the release more and it would be fun talking about it. namaste
also i never comment on posts so please be gentle
