  1. great! DIE A LEGEND is the best mainstream hip-hop album of the past few years!
  2. He sounds bored out of his mind on "Tootsis Slide." Even the beat drags, especially for a song cynically written to kick off a TikTok dance craze.
  3. The world is going to hell, but at least this album leaked a day early!
  4. "Maybe This World Is Another Planet's Hell?"=song title of the year!
  5. The mysterious masked man thing is gimmicky, but he can sing really well, and this is way livelier than recent music on similar themes by Future and co.
  6. Post-IGOR hip-hop is gonna get weird!
  7. Yeah, the current jazz scene is really exciting. Keep it up!
  8. They canceled an American tour last year due to the issues swirling around the band. You can read about it here: https://www.dallasobserver.com/music/can-die-antwoord-survive-their-latest-in-string-of-scandals-11764757. From what I've read, I have no doubt that they maliciously tried to frame Andy Butler for sexual assault on Yolandi and then Ninja physically attacked him because he;'s gay.
  9. Just what the world needs, a new album by a group who have attacked a gay man and whose leader is an alleged rapist!
  10. From this release, I think that meant he was retiring the Childish Gambino name (maybe as a way of getting out of his contract with RCA?)
  11. Thank you for making me happy!
  12. Great! This is the project of Cabaret Voltaire's Stephen Mallinder, and they remind me of CV circa 1983, but the lyrics are an extended critique of online culture.
  13. She interpolates "McArthur Park" (as "Woodstock '99")!
  14. When I first saw the video (which Universal Music Publishing got YouTube to pull), I thought it was viral marketing for a new movie or sketch comedy show. Maybe it still is! But there's a deranged conceptual brilliance to this song.
  15. BTW, this is actually a reissue of a classic psych/proto-doom metal album from 1970, not a new release from 2020.
  16. Does it include a power ballad about the lonely life of a military wife whose husband is away in the Middle East? (No offense to people actually going through that, but this band panders to a certain army/cop demographic like crazy.)
  17. Drill remix of "The Bing Bong Song" featuring Pop Smoke and Headie One coming soon!
  18. Excellent, reminds me of the most aggressive aspects of glam and pub-rock mixed with Oi!
  19. This is brilliant! A punk approach to electronic music, rather than more of the house music Nicolas Jaar did so well on 2012-2017.
  20. Awesome! REMAIN IN LIGHT is one of the greatest albums ever made, and their first 3 albums aren't far behind.
  21. Really beautiful; reminds me of Natalie Merchant (who they've collaborated with) in a '60s British psych/folk vein.
