Miss New Buddha - The Situation Is Excellent (2020)

I'm really enjoying this so far. Some heavy pounding guitars/bass, interesting rhythms with some good breakdowns and very aggressive parts, definitely some grunge influence... not much like most the "post-hardcore" on here, this stuff is far more innovative and interesting.... maybe that comes more from the "Alternative Rock" aspects of it. Their bandcamp also has some other music of theirs for free on it, which also sounds good! https://gyozaisnotfood.bandcamp.com/

The Federal Empire - Road Through Hell (2020)
MadAdaM replied to Summers's topic in Alternative Rock
Interesting sound... sort of stadium folk rock type of sound (with heavy pop song structure) and some interesting rhythms. Haven't yet decided if I like it a lot or not... it's like I enjoy the instrumentation, rhythms, and half the vocals, but the song structure seems like maybe just a bit too formulaic. -

This is some really solid emo punk! My favorite sort of music to discover on here. Thank you! Their bandcamp also has another album that's pay-what-you-want and pretty darn good. Not as polished or nuanced as arrythmia that you shared here, but still really good and fun. https://bathroomcommunityband.bandcamp.com/album/life-checks

Thanks for this! Very interesting blend of sounds, not sure I've ever heard all this come together in one album/band before. I personally really like the vocals, that sort of whiny, slightly lazy midwest emo type of vocals... layered on top of some typical emo rock but also other sounds (including drone, as mentioned) - very fascinating and I like the blend of it all!

Fun, energetic, and upbeat pop punk! If you go to their bandcamp: https://bonymacaroni.bandcamp.com/ You can get quite a lot of other songs and some albums for pay-what-you-want. They seem to have some really good stuff on there! (Some of the other stuff has more emo influence, but as a whole the primary vibe is definitely energetic pop-punk.)

This is really good stuff, some great energy and aggression to it... great rhythms with heavy guitars and vocals that fit it really well too. I wouldn't really call most of it punk rock (from what I've heard so far), but throughout seems to be a blend of "heavy rock", some grunge, some punk, and some hardcore elements. They really do a great job of mixing all those elements too. Thanks for sharing this!
