  1. Sounds very much like some fairly lo-fi (i.e. not great recording) of 80s new wave.
  2. I think in Turbo you get the super combos. ;-)
  3. Thanks for sharing this! It caused me to find their 2011 which seems pretty awesome... and listening to this one seems like a mixed bag up front... a lot of 80s-style synthesizer rhythms in the background (or foreground) for most of the songs, but some songs still have some great strong punk rock sounds to them.
  4. I've been looking forward to this for a while now! Thanks for making sure to upload it! A great band, creative with a somewhat unique sound... one that's easy to enjoy over and over for a long time! I've been listening to them for quite a few years now and they've changed up their sound a bit here and there, but I've always appreciated it. If you're enjoying this, I think you'd really enjoy checking out some of their previous albums also. I've been listening since "Dig Up the Dead" - you can hear more of it here: https://mansions.bandcamp.com/album/dig-up-the-dead
  5. This seems like a really solid melodic hardcore album. Looking forward to giving it more listens!
  6. A pretty cool sound. Quite a lot of it sounds very much like the sound of "The Hold Steady", that sort of barroom rock and some good gravelly vocals... but also a bit more classic rock sounds thrown in here. I like the energetic sounds when that's the vibe going on, but there's a bit too much slower parts for me to really get into it as a whole.
  7. I like the music quite a bit but not really a fan of the vocals.
  8. Sounds like a mix of "modern/heavy rock" and pop punk. Not bad. Not my preferred sound though.
  9. Pretty good stuff! Reminds me a lot of the grunge-influenced 90s alternative rock.
  10. Looking forward to hearing more of this and see what direction he goes with his music here!
  11. I'm not familiar with this band... but this is some pretty interesting indie/alternative rock music with a fair bit of creativity, seems like it could grow on me. I'm going to listen to it more and see how it goes.
  12. Yeah, I don't use itunes though, so I don't want to load their site. I've tried itunes in the past, but I really don't like their platform. I like bandcamp because it loads so much faster (I have limited bandwidth anyway) and I like their platform. I really appreciate it when bandcamp links are provided, so that's why I figured some also might appreciate them provided in the comments section if they're not in the main post. (And I see that sometimes people include the embedded youtube single of an album if it's not in the main post, and people say they appreciate that, as do I.) Honestly, I feel like the audio I usually hear on a youtube single is lower than when I listen to the same song on bandcamp... but maybe that's because I have my youtube videos set to low kbps in order to preserve my bandwidth... I thought it only affected the video, but maybe it affects the audio also.
  13. OK. I always like to hear more than one song before deciding to download the whole album (since sometimes the single doesn't represent the album all that well), so I tend to look for bandcamp for that. I figured some other people might like the easy access for previewing it more also (instead of searching for it on google like I did). But I can stop posting those.
  14. Ah, thanks a lot for the head's up on how to do that!
  15. Looking forward to the full album, they're a good band!
  16. Definitely doesn't sound like hardcore to me, rather more straightforward punk with a fair bit of pop-punk thrown in (think more like Rancid than Blink 182). I really like aggressive but catchy punk, however, these songs sound a bit too contrived - like they're trying too hard to be cool punk rockers. Here's their bandcamp so you can check out a few singles: https://ramallah.bandcamp.com/releases
  17. Seems like a pretty decent and solid mix of all the genres mentioned. High-quality recording. Perhaps a little generic in the song and structure, but still seems pretty solid.
  18. I've been looking forward to this - a great band! So I'm excited to hear the new album!
  19. Really solid, high-energy alternative rock! Really enjoying this! Most of their songs are actually heavier and more pounding than the video single here (though they do have a few slower ones). Here's the bandcamp to check it out more: https://spiceispain.bandcamp.com/album/spice
  20. I'm just now hearing this band (because of their new album shared on here). But all the download links here seem to be broken. @Lord Kingdom Could you possibly update the download links? (Mainly 320 is what I'm interested in.) Thanks!
  21. This really has a great rocking sound but really tight recording! I'd agree with the genres, a pretty solid mix between alternative and post-hardcore, some good variety between the songs. Looking forward to hearing it more!
  22. This sounds great, sounds like some of the best hardcore punk from the 80s, except (of course) a bit better recording quality. Looking forward to listening to this more!
  23. I only ever heard one song from this band on a compilation a LONG time ago, but I'm enjoying this so far! Some good classic soaring late 90s emo it seems like. Here's the bandcamp to hear more: https://bsmrocks.bandcamp.com/album/a-lull-in-traffic-20th-anniversary-edition
  24. I really enjoy this band, very creative mathy-pop-rock stuff with some great female vocals. The sound on the video single is great, so looking forward to hearing the whole thing!
  25. Wow, really awesome stuff! Great rocking and pounding, full of energy! Great vocals! Love the title track on the video (some great rhythms and cool shouted/spoken word verses), but all the songs seem high energy and awesome, with that punk rock feel, but with some rhythms/riffs and song structures borrowed a bit from other rock genres! What a great find! I'm sure this is going to get a lot of repeat listens by me!
