i just like alot of tracks off of it. It was very dynamic for everything Red has done for sure. Thats the same thing with myself liking drag me outs record everyone hates it on this site but i loved it. I just have a different ear and music taste than other people.

I like Drag Me Out too, but I feel like most of Red's dynamic experimentation on Release the Panic just kinda fell flat / went into mainstream territory (Perfect Life being the worst song they've ever made)

Everyone has different tastes for music. i enjoy red very much. hell i even met the guys. Chill guys love their work. I just liked Gone. It was different for sure idk. I just enjoyed it.

Man I can understand the love for Gone, it's one of Red's most underrated albums, but Release the Panic is the worst in Red's discog every way.

Howard Benson's terrible production job, the egregious lack of strings, cluttered songwriting, etc.

I'm not saying Release the Panic didn't have some awesome moments (Hold Me Now is a wonderful song for example), but what exactly makes it your favorite album by them?

  3. Hey everyone, how can we get all the viewers to ignore the fact that this song is 90% hi-hat drum spam with a basic arpeggio synth line?

Just give swords to hot chicks and put up obscuring lights! 10/10 won't get demonitized!

  4. I've always been an advocate of separating the art from the artist, to me the personal lives of musicians in relation to your personal moral compass don't really matter, the music does.

This is some pretty good shit, definitely better than the last album and on par with their debut imo.

I agree with @MyTearsYW this record is backloaded. The only good song in the first half is the opener. Melancholy Kaleidoscope might be the dumbest song title I've ever heard.

This record just doesn't have the personality or the energy that made them popular. I will turn on Nothing Personal so much quicker than I will this. I think there are a couple songs worth keeping from this, but as a whole, this isn't worth listening to.

Like the back half is fun and sounds like Don't Panic b-sides which I'm always down for, but really the only track that has All Time Low sounding at their best on this is "Favorite Place" imo.
