  1. None of us can, it was so sudden. Everyone's in complete shock.
  2. Honestly, we take a lot of musicians for granted, all of us. We expect them to be strong enough to repeatedly focus on a very dangerous and unstable career path, while making music that not only they love, but their fans love as well. This was especially true for Linkin Park, as most people were screaming "WE WANT HYBRID THEORY 2.0" to the point where Chester lashed out at his own fans telling them to stop talking about that album. Linkin Park we took for granted, sure we all listened to Linkin Park growing up, and it shaped a lot of us as people / musicians, but it wasn't until Chester was gone that we realized how important that he and his music were.
  3. Thank you so much, I just want to pay my respects to Chester. If he hadn't made Meteora (my favorite album by them), I probably wouldn't have started down the path of becoming a musician in the first place.
  4. It's hard, when all of us were at the age where we started listening to Linkin Park. Things were so much simpler; no-one really ever is prepared for something like this, and when it happens we rack our heads trying to wonder why, and how it feels connected to our own lives. Chester will be greatly missed, and his legacy on music will never be forgotten.
  5. Linkin Park was one of the first two bands that I listened to that started me on the path to listening to heavier music (Avenged Sevenfold being the other one), and honestly Chester's death has been getting to me lately, I've had Castle of Glass on repeat for hours already this morning, and it still hasn't entirely hit me that he's gone. People can say what they want about him being a celebrity and how most of us didn't know him personally, but it really feels like we lost a piece of our years when Chester died. RIP. You started so many people, young and old alike, on a musical path, and you shaped so many people's tastes. You will be greatly missed. For anyone on here, it's been said a million times but it needs to be said again. If you feel depressed, suicidal, or anything at all. Please, talk to someone, anyone. People are there for you, even if you want to talk to me, I'm there for you. There are always people there for you, you're stronger than you think and we're all here to help you through whatever trials in life you're going through.
  6. Andy Black and his wife Juliet dropped the most fire cover on this album, damn that was fantastic. Only a few others are good, like Heathen, Love Yourself, and Stitches.
  7. No worries! Here's the bandcamp link to the EP as well - https://blackmalachite.bandcamp.com/album/d-e-a-t-h-w-a-v-e
  8. Hey you got the wrong artwork for this EP, the artwork is actually this -
  9. Excuse me, but I ship only edgy Sonic couples, like Dr. Eggman and his Chicken Robot.
  10. Sorry No Maria references, 1/10 edge not edgy enough.
  11. The fact that he had to put "this is his 13th studio album" on the cover of his album, reeks of an ego out the wazoo.
  12. New Andy Black is the only reason I even remotely care about this.
  13. Mediocre attempt to hop on the 80s Darkwave revival trend that's been big lately. AFI's Davey Havok did this sound so much better with his "Dreamcar" project.
  14. The album is actually quite a bit different from their previous efforts, much more experimentation, and actual inspiration. I never viewed Nickelback as being egotistical before, more than anything there were just several guys singing about sex, partying, etc. Which imo is far better than the whole "I am the band, we can save you and your tortured soul from the hell of your suburban life" cliche. Give this new album a chance man, I think you'll enjoy tracks like "After the Rain", "The Betrayal", and "Home."
  15. Another fantastic album. Johnny Franck (the one man behind this project) has improved so much since his days in Attack Attack! I can't wait to see what he comes up with next.
  16. This album is Katy Perry going through her "I'm so smart, look at me talk about how society is so jaded" phase. Spoiler: It's not nearly as deep as she probably thinks it is. Production's great as usual, but the album itself is a train wreck.
  17. Nickelback fully embraces being radio rock and adds some nice little influences to it, like the Red vibes, the Tool vibes, the spanish guitar sections, and the high end production quality. I Prevail is pretentious, generic, and lazy, and has the kind of egotistical (WE CAN SAVE YOU) type of presence that comedians like Jarrod Alonge make fun of for being absolutely abhorrent. So yeah, it's far better to throw bullshit at that instead of this.
  18. Why is it that all these decent bands are pushing out terrible Trump protest songs; first the Gorillaz with their mediocre comeback, now Arcade Fire. We get it, you don't like the president. Stop trying to make a quick buck and get back to what you're good at and actually enjoy making.
  19. Get off your fucking high horse. Dahvie has an available to the public police record where he actually WAS arrested. But even ignoring the sexual assault scandals, just about every single person who's ever worked with him has affirmed that he's a short tempered, selfish, and hypocritical egomaniac. I'm glad Jayy Von Monroe left and released a statement about how cruel Dahvie was. Jayy's a talented, and humble individual, and doesn't deserve to be lumped in with his shitty ex-partner.
  20. What's with the production on this? It sounds like it's being recorded in a tin can.
