I actually preferred the softer tone of this album compared to previous material I've heard from these guys, they've got one hell of a clean singer and I'm glad they're utilizing him.

See, I liked Ire a lot and was hoping they would go in this direction, so that's not my issue with this album. My issue is this album's... execution, it's so messy. I appreciate Winston's monstrous vocal capabilities and his willingness to experiment, but it honestly seems like even he doesn't know exactly what he's trying to do here. A talented man with a furnace of rage that has no shovel within to help direct it.

This album is going to be so fucking good.

I'm so happy they're going back to the self titled sound instead of sticking with the Black Lines sound; Black Lines was fine, but I'm definitely glad they didn't stay in that direction and that it was a one off.

This is probably going to be the worst album of the year; Jared Leto's god complex has reached crisis levels, and it's a wonder this dude's music still has a following.

Three months later and this album is still my AOTY so far. God damn I enjoyed the hell out of this.

This was so much better than that last single they dropped, I'm actually excited for the album now.

Hollow Bodies was always this band's best effort, but I'm really fucking excited to jam this.

I wish "You're Fucking Sick" was on the record. That song was a treat, holy shit.

Clearly my weed isn't good enough because it's not inspiring me to make massive gospel albums for literally no reason. God damn Snoop; share your shit, I guess my top shelf Indica just isn't enough

Oh don't get me wrong I enjoy a good amount of their songs as well, I'd just like to point out that ever since they turned into assholes the quality of their music has gone downhill.

Let's not forget that this band tried to use their (formerly) huge status as pop punk stars to nearly fuck over a photographer. Song's passable (average as hell though), but ever since they got big they let the fame not only get to their heads, but to the quality of their songwriting as well.

This has a certain atmosphere to it that I haven't heard in a while, can't wait to listen to the whole thing.

I just pinpointed why I can't stand this album, the lack of infectious vocal hooks and songwriting highs; it's what made Three Days Grace so appealing in the first place, it's not just about Adam leaving (while that contributed, Matt is still a good vocalist even though he's not at Adam's level), it's about the fact that the quality of the songwriting has vastly downgraded since the band's first three albums and continues to downgrade with each new release.

I enjoy his voice, but the problem is the album capitalizes "too" much on it, his vocals are mixed way too high (especially on songs like "Something I'm Missing"), when they tone it back and work as a whole like on "Fix Myself" it's pretty damn good though.

This is a fairly fun little EP
