I've been in and out of the comments, but it looks like there's some talk of springing off to another site? I know all the data is set to be deleted, but I've got a quick question as someone with no experience in web dev. Is it at all possible to dump the site code or whatever you call it to Github or somewhere so someone can at least replicate the look and feel of the site should they be so inclined? Going back to early 2000's era forum posting would be something I'd do, but would be a step down from what we've all become accustomed to.

I consider Spotify my "cloud backup". I don't feel comfortable fully switching to it though, and not sure if I ever will. I have a Google doc of about 1000 songs it's missing, be it bonus tracks, entire albums, or an artist in general. Until I know I can get 100% of my music on Spotify, I'll be hesitant. To add to that, it seems that some albums come and go without warning and I don't like knowing that I can wake up on any day and see that an album I wanted to listen to is now missing. Third and last, I worry music streaming is still in its infancy and that there is a streaming war akin to Netflix/HBO/Disney/whatever other video streaming things still on the horizon. My worry there is that entire record labels are going to disappear to either label specific streaming sites, or there will be a situation where the big players (Spotify, iTunes, and Google?) start getting X year long exclusivity on entire label catalogues.
For now, I'm happy to continue buying external drives and downloading music while using Spotify as a cloud backup. I don't see this changing soon, but I do hope that one day comes where I'm okay with switching fully to the cloud.

Wow, I'm actually gutted by this news. I've been coming to KL every single day for like 4 or 5 years now and it's been the ONLY place I find music. Some of the best albums I've ever heard, or some of my favourite bands were found because of this website. YouTube just doesn't have the same ability to help find new bands (especially those brand new ones that kick so much ass). I guess that'll be the only place for me to turn unless there's another site out there somewhere, waiting to be established. As for actually obtaining music and have it on me at all times...man, I don't know. Torrenting is dead for most music and, like I said, I don't know of any other site quite like this one.
Thanks to everyone who made this site great. Thanks for the hundreds of gigabytes of music it'll take me a lifetime to listen to. Thanks for letting me listen to anticipated albums early. Thanks for helping me find new music that helped me on days when I was sad. Fuck the ever living shit out of this year.
Edit: How could I forget, most importantly of all, thanks to Lord Kingdom and mR12. Congrats on the next stage of your life/lives.

Does anyone have "My Christmas List"? I can't find this song anywhere. It was a bonus track on No Pads for the US.

Are all these songs true 320? Parasite Eve and Ludens sound like they're lesser quality than the rest of the album.

Checking the site has been my part of my morning ritual for years now. My favorite memories are the "NO FUCKING WAY" leaks that we'd get every one in a while. That was always one hell of a way to start the day.
