  1. I dig it. A bit like if Siouxsie and the Banshees did a trip-hop album.
  2. Thanks for this but I didn't know what it was going to be. Loved him in Maiden and some of his other solo albums, but this is terrible.
  3. Most of these are absolutely god awful. Especially DGD, Against Me!, AS IT IS, and Too Close to Touch. Let it Be sounds like he just got done masturbating, feels ashamed, and is in a corner huddled down, trembling and crying about it.
  4. Pretty good. Reminds me a lot of the band Cultura Tres.
  5. Don't care for the guys vocals, but the album art is pretty awesome.
  6. Funny how Anathema got worse without Patterson, but Antimatter got better without him. Great album.
  7. This is killer. Stoked for the album. Even more so than for Architects. But both will be incredible.
  8. I'm pretty much done. Resistance was the last album I truly enjoyed nearly all the way through. I'll just continue to keep the 2-3 tracks I enjoy from each album since then.
  9. Besides the terrible mastering.... for me it's: Outstanding: The Dark Side Thought Contagion Good: Algorithm (Could have been outstanding but it just feels too much like an extended intro to The Dark Side than it's own song) Blockades Not horrible, but not that good: Pressure Dig Down (Way too similar to the superior Madness) Horrible: Propaganda Break it to Me Something Human Get Up and Fight The Void
  10. I can't even tell if I like half of the songs because the mastering is complete SHIT.
  11. Thanks. As a big fan of Ratt I'll say that this certainly is NOT them (obviously), but it's one of Stephens better and more Ratt-ish solo albums/projects. It will most likely end up in my recycle bin after a few listens, but it's worth checking out if you were ever a fan.
  12. Might want to figure out some type of reinforcements so it doesn't collapse.
  13. Both the original and this are like having musical food poisoning. They make me want to puke. I'm not sure which one is worse, possibly this one, but I'm not going to put myself through the torture of listening to either of them ever again in order to form a solid opinion.
  14. I'd be excited if the 23 tracks contained more than 6 from their first three albums, and more than one from X&Y.
  15. Katatonia are one of my all time favorites. I've mentioned them in the shoutbox a few times but no one ever seems even slightly interested. Maybe this will help turn some people on to their brilliance. The Fall of Hearts was so jaw-dropping incredible, that if they never return from the hiatus... at least they ended on an extremely high note.
  16. Does anyone know what the "Based on Tue Events" is referring to? Sounds like it's going to be a concept album, but based on what events?
  17. Great album! Only weird thing is I wonder why Champions of London was mixed/mastered louder than every other track.
  18. (Un)Holy crap this is some killer evil thrash goodness!!!
  19. Never heard of this band. Here because of @LKA after I mentioned wishing there would be more instrumental blackgaze. Great stuff & will check out the vocal version also.
  20. I agree for the most part, but there is actually some (subjectively) outstanding modern pop out there. Marnie's solo albums (Ladytron frontwoman) are two that instantly come to mind, especially the first one, Crystal World. Leaps and bounds above this crap in every way possible.
  21. I love synthpop & some electronic influenced pop but this is god awful. The worst part about it are her lyrics. However, if she really doen't know if she's a girl... I could probably help her with that.
  22. I really want to love this band but the vocalist kills it all for me. The music is fantastic & the idea to have new-wave style vocals was brilliant, but for me they need a different new-wave style vocalist. Something about his tone just grates me. Like someone trying too hard to be Robert Smith-ish but failing badly. The songs themselves are pretty great though.
  23. Love it. It sounds exactly like... The Prodigy.
  24. Great tunes! Reminds of a cross between Crowbar and Gojira.
