  1. Almost half of these tracks are titled "Minotaur Forgiving [BLANK]". Seriously?
  2. Agreed lol This song is a real refreshing breather from all of the bands today that are slowly fading away. Can't wait for the new record.
  3. All I know personally is that what I like/dislike and love/hate with Slipknot music is very hard even for me to define. Haven't listened to this *YET*. I enjoy all of their work (excluding a random song or two), but .5: The Gray Chapter is the only album by them in its entirety that I really, truly love. The rest is just average for me, and since all I'm reading is that this is similar in aspect to each of the first 3 albums, we'll see how much I really enjoy it. It could be hit or miss for me.
  4. It's not "screams" per se, but it is "aggressive vocals", and is screaming to anybody who doesn't like "real" growls and shit
  5. Charlie's was good but like you said a little short lived, but J-Dog tho! Those screams are the most metal they've had in a very long time!
  6. Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Me Like. It's actually a lot better than even I was expecting. Hype for PSALMS here we go!
  7. Lol yes I agree there are some outstanding and fantastic pop albums, but 95% aren't worth even trying. Same with rap for the most part nowadays. It's really sad.
  8. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I don't even have to listen to this shit to know it's trash (to me personally). Fuck this meme, and fuck modern pop music.
  9. My first real taste of metal. Mostly rock and metal mixed together, but my first taste of it. Without listening to these guys about just under 2 years ago, I never would've gotten into 90% of the metal-related music i listen to today.
  10. Yeah, apparently is was a drug overdose, but just like with many drug-related deaths, sometimes we don't know if it was intentional or not. Regardless...music lost a star. If there's no other reason to avoid drugs, thinking about those we admire who have died due to drug overdoses can help. I myself know that I'll never live that life. I don't ever want that to happen to me.
  11. Kyle looks so happy here... The music scene has become a slightly darker place due to his loss. Rest in Peace. We'll miss you.
  12. To me, for anybody who doesn't like it, thinking of it as Skillet suddenly turns it so much better. I had some other people do that, and they suddenly liked it a lot better lmao
  13. You must know tho that this was by far their best album. Those albums of course are still good, but this is the most memorable, diverse, and well put together album for me. Behind this, I like, Hypernova best, just as my personal recommendation.
  14. Several parts of the EP reminded me a little of Collide-time Skillet with A few different eras of Slipknot influence mixed in a little. My Demons is my least favorite on the whole thing. In other words, I actually really like it haha
  15. Yes he is, actually! In fact they have material they're looking to be done with and ready to release sometime fairly early next year I think. I do still think that this should've just been released as heavier Skillet lol
  16. I personaly their past material was really good, but even I will admit that this is so much, newer, fresher, more diverse, and way deeper lyrically than their past projects, in som eplaces even touching on some personal things. It was really good as a whole!
  17. I've been waitinf for this for a month (ever siince I discovered these guys), and holy shit it didn't disappoint!
  18. 320 and flac added???? Fuck yes I'm getting this early now!!
  19. I believe Korey is one of the guitarists for Jen's project, and Seth is also still one of the guitarists for Fight the Fury. But the thing is, this would be super sick if it was under Skillet's name. If this song was under Skillet, it would at least be something a little bit more fresh than Unleashed was (I love Unleashed personally, but you might know what I mean). However, I believe that both side-projects could do a lot. Jen's seems more like a side-project than this tho. To me, this song (and quite possibly the EP as a whole) should just be newer, slightly heavier Skillet.
  20. Lol I heard some people saying it was good but wasn't in any way outstanding quality, and I disagree highly! This was a fresh take on a genre that's hard to differentiate with imo And I love it
  21. This was sorta "meh" personally. I'd give both wonderful life and MANTRA a 6/10 if I'm being generous. More likely a 5.5 or 5/10 tho (for both of them). I like the type of musical direction that wonderful life has a hell of a lot better, but it still felt a little "ehh" to me personally. Overall: I'll listen to "amo." but I'm necessarily getting any hype for it.
  22. I agree! But the clean vocals featured on this album are also surprisingly diverse and unique compared to plenty of the metalcore that people release these days!
