after Mantra this has certainly brought things back down to earth 

chorus is decent and catchy but there's some shit on this like the claps which makes me wonder how tf they got through production

But in answer to your question, absolutely. I just listen to music that I personally think is good. Is that okay with you? If you don't like something that I do, does that mean you don't listen to music? No. It just means we listen to different things. Good or bad is subjective, but your comment comes across as "Oh... if you don't like these guys you suck & obviously listen to shitty music."

idk how you can think it's "some of the most generic sounding rock music I've heard in a while" if you actually listen to music cus it obviously isn't 

did you not listen to the latest you me at six or the story so far to give 2 examples, both sounded more in line with 'generic' rock sounds than this

this would have been a perfect summer album 

probably one of the most consistent albums of the year (feel free to correct me), don't think there's a song which feels out of place or weaker than the rest and even the interludes are good

also that album artwork is fucking lovely, up there with Helios as some of my favourite album artwork of the year 

Didn't enjoy this as much as Perennial but still a great single.

The album is going to be great, proper looking forward to it.

Mixed feelings on this one. 

There are some really great moments on this album like Dark All Day, Honour Among Thieves, Woken Furies and Atr3mis. They are some of GUNSHIP's best work and Dark All Day stands out as one of the best songs in this genre. Yet right after Dark All Days comes When You Grow Up, Your Heart Dies which I skipped about 3/4 of the way through and all the momentum from the first 2 songs is gone. Handful of songs on here like Time After Time, Black Blood Red Kiss and Cyber City didn't do much for me and could probably have been cut out. Still enjoyed it despite its shortcomings, just hope he can build on this and his next album will be ace.

Favourite of the 3 singles, if AOGHAU is anything to go by the best songs will be on the album.

This is great stuff, prefer the heavier songs on here as ones like Savages sound like standard songs from the mid 2000s.

Tidy EP, three songs feel like enough though. If they did a full length LP without mixing up their sound and style more I'd get bored of it fairly quickly.

10 POINTS TO GRYFFINDOR 

Fucking love this album; it's raw, punchy and emotional.

The way his voice starts to crack towards the end of June makes the song even more heartbreaking. Then the wonderful transition into Samaritans and Television which give you a slap over masculinity and societal beauty standards. Great and Colossus are fantastically fun to listen to while again delivering potent messaging about the socio-politcal climate we live in.
