first half of this album is really catchy and enjoyable; so bad, don't cry and givin' up are the general highlights of this album
then it slows down to and starts to sound more like previous emarosa albums which was....alright i guess
so yeah, an album of two halves, think it would have been a much stronger album if they hadn't slowed down in the second half

it's good but it's a fairly standard blood yoof song
hopefully they'll mix it up a bit rather than beyond repair pt 2

If you don't dig this, you might just not dig her writing style. RHD writes as a collective effort so Lauren has a good amount of say in the songs...
Really excited for this album n stoked for whatever RHD is up to.you've read too much into my comment fella, was mostly tongue in cheek
to be more serious about it, i think lauren has good vocals but are let down by mediocre songwriting which either doesn't properly utilize them or make the songs straight up forgettable.

periphery going through their emo phase is it
yes please
-
maybe lauren will find a band with decent songwriting on her third attempt

yeah, not good
in the interest of self-care, i would advise that you give this album a pass and listen to something else

solid EP and prefer this sound to what was on Cold
still has the same issues for me that Cold did though, while it's good overall record, there is nothing that makes it unique or stand out from anything else in the genre

lowkey enjoyed this
the collabs weren't as strong as their previous ones with some people keith caputo and tarja
this is probably going to take me a few listens to get into due to the lack of grandeur moments that usually pull you on a within temptation album
first impressions are that it's a decent overall album though

1. bring me the horizon - amo
2. fever 333 - strength in numb333rs
3. hante. - fierece
nearly put better oblivion community centre at #3 but it hasn't fully captured me yet
amo will more than likely be a top 3 of 2019 for me so unquestionably #1 for me this month

starts somewhat slow and takes a few songs to get going, don't think having a 7:34 song as the opener helps either despite it being a decent song.
once it does get going this album is a fucking bop. tokyo is the best song on this album with catchy beat and lyrics and that's how the album carries on.
know they're not popular outside of england (best country in the world) but don't sleep on this album or band
-
think it's time they try something a bit different
sounds like all their previous stuff but not as good

Most recent White Lies album FIVE might be of interest to you.
Miami Horror, Pale Waves, The Wombats and Alvvays are close to what you describe too.
