  1. What Sam Carter, Eddie Berg, and to some extent, Brian Willie do is something between a fry and yell. I don't believe there's an actual name for the style, though.
  2. Is this the same Values that did "Blind Ignorance"? I definitely like what I'm hearing, good stuff. Screams kind of remind of Ross Kenyon and cleans work pretty well. What's wrong with the album cover? Seems more symbolic than anything to me.
  3. It's a public domain image, and therefore, free for anyone to use without cost or credit. As a graphic artist/designer that uses some public domain images to manipulate, running into other people using that same image as a foundation is unavoidable. That being said, this was probably done by someone in the band to save money. However, it was done pretty lazily. Like, zero effort lazy. Just slapped on their logo and an awful free font and called it a day.
  4. Christ, this just feels like uninspired memecore, and that's without even sitting it next to Eve. I doubt it was money. The band went for several years, and all of the members seem fairly well off financially (I mean, you kind of have to be if you live in Canada, I'd think.). You don't exactly 'just play' a few shows in Japan without either being well-off/stable as a band, or having a successful album. I fully believe their parting was due to either creative differences/directions or issues with Tragic Hero.
  5. Sheesh, Too Close To Touch 2.0 much? Everything is very similar, from the vocals to the simple/plain music. They better hope the vocalist is better than Keaton live, 'cause that's their only hope.
  6. Not gonna be that guy, but are there really still people like this? We get it, you love ABR and their thirty million clones with awesome guitar work and br00tal vocals and breakdowns, but you don't have to dangle your elitist distaste for clean vocals either.
  7. This is an older single that came out some time last year (I believe), and is being uploaded here now for whatever reason. This song and their other single "Signs" have been on Dreambound's YouTube channel for quite a while now.
  8. I loved Origin, it was a super relatable album in multiple respects. I wasn't a huge fan of DISWIR (it was way too Silent Planet-y sounding to me, I like SP, but not with Rory's voice.), but I still liked it. This? This is what evolution in a band should sound like. Jesus, I hope the rest of the album is on this level.
  9. My god. This album and their self-titled brings back some memories. Too bad they broke up. :/
  10. You should look into Youtube Vanced, assuming you're on android. It's basically an ad-less, free YouTube Red (in the sense that you can turn your screen off and still hear the music/audio of the video.).
  11. Very nothing,nowhere-esque, was a fan of his first EP along with all of his Crooks stuff. Kinda wish his songs were longer, though.
  12. Gotta be Shokran and InVisions for me, Demon Hunter was okay, too, I suppose. Everything else was pretty meh, though.
  13. Reminds me of a slightly heavier, slightly more nasaly version of Forget Tomorrow. Pretty good.
  14. The 128kbps was actually fairly high quality for what it was, but I was also listening on a somewhat upper-end system that might've made it sound a little better then how it actually sounded. Either way, 320 versions will almost always sound better, especially on a good pair of cans.
  15. Technically late 2018 (didn't see it on that other thread.), but The Afterimage.
  16. ...No. Just no. They were at least haflway decent as a Asking Alexandria/Capture The Crown ripoff, but this is just on a new level of awful. It's like T-Pain and Atilla had a baby and out came Brokencyde's retarded twin.
  17. Hey, maybe they're going to this sound so Keaton can actually perform halfway decently live. Dude is the literal definition of hot garbage live.
  18. Dude needs to change his name if he wants to get any kind of looks his way from label/fans . Not a bad rapper, just not really into his style at all.
  19. Spectrum and Locked Away are pretty sick. Anthem (For The Broken) has to be the cheesiest song I've heard in a while, though. I mean, "for the broken"? Really, guys? In all seriousness, though, it's a pretty good EP. If their's anything to really nitpick, it's like they can't decide between being Metalcore or Melodic Hardocre(-esque).
  20. 1. Architects - Holy Hell. - These guys are pretty much an auto-AOTY for me at this point. 2. The Afterimage (RIP) - Eve. - I waited so long for an LP from these guys and finally got one. It lived up to my expectations. 3. Now, Now - Saved. - Loved Threads, and loved this, too. 4. The Plot In You - Dispose. - An album I wasn't much of a fan of at first, but it grew on me. Outside of being way, way too short, it ended up being a strong album with a completely new sound. 5. nothing, nowhere - ruiner. - Another album that I thought was okay, but slowly grew to like a good bit. Still not nearly as good as Reaper, though. 6. Currents - I Let The Devil In. - The only thing stopping this from being higher is that it's an EP. Once again, this band shows why they're quickly climbing the ladder to the top of the scene. 7. Erra - Neon. - I wasn't a fan of Drift, for a plethora of reasons. This one took a few listens, too. Even if he got a little better with this album, I just wish JT had a bit more variety. 8. The Fallen Prodigy - Relive // Regret // Repeat (super underrated band, imo.). - This album is non-stop heavy. Fast, hits hard, all mixed in with some great guitar work and Jesse Cash-ish cleans 9. Mayday Parade - Sunnyland. - Almost forgot about this. Classic Mayday Parade, loved this album. 10. Pale Waves - My Mind Makes Noises. - I know this album got a bit of flak for being a bit repetitive, but I kept finding myself coming back to it. Heather is just hard to resist. HM's: Normandie - White Flag / Planet Loser - Planet Loser / Our Hollow, Our Home - In Moment // In Misery / Seraphim - Shades of The Future / Shields - Life in Exile. | Framing Hanley - Puzzle Pieces & Baggage Claim.
  21. I wasn't really much of a fan of their material after The Moment, give or take on a few songs. This and Puzzle Pieces are pretty damn good, hopefully the rest of the album can match it.
  22. I don't know if it's just Youtube, but does the mix seem off to anyone else? The music (guitars, mostly.) seems a good bit louder than the vocals.Good song, otherwise.
  23. Did you listen to TPIFS at all? The entire album, except for Apnea, has some semblance of cleans.
  24. GOTK is pretty much taking over the BFMV sound while BFMV themselves are doing their best impression of Nickelback.
