this is... fine.  not as bad as some of you guys claim, its more streamline for sure but I don't get calling it 'mainstrem', still chugs, still grooves.. the samples and electronic touches are great.

dark skies is just a very, VERY difficult album to follow up.

agreed, they're absolutely ridiculous but part of why I love this kind of music is how far bands will push the absurdity.  it works on context

still don't know if this is a joke or not.

I went into this thinking 'okay so it's not a joke he's really trying".  but then the guest spot, with a very talented rapper, and now I'm back to thinking this is all a joke because how else would you listen to your verse next to his and be like "yeah, this will do".  

like you featured him as a contrast to.. you.  I think.
