    I get there's some oldfags who only want bmth songs with breakdowns and double bass but they fell off since, like sempiternal (which was half post rock or something anyways lol.. that album was criticized HEAVILY when released). and most users here have a pretty mixed preference of music.  your argument might work in youtube comments or r/whateverCore though

     

    it IS great hearing oli scream over a breakdown again though, don't misunderstand me

    the weirdest thing about the guys, even when it's a new song the hook hits me like I've heard it 1,000 times and it's my favorite song.  

     

    I'm glad it looks like the heavier sound from the ep isn't going to be a staple, BUT I think they struck a perfect balance on this too won't pass so I hope there's SOME phc vibes on this new ep
