so this disagreement is half opinion and half semantics, at least we understand each others perspective. I've been watching VaatiVidyas in depth videos and it looks like the perfect mix of tenchu, souls and a sliver of Spider-Man 2 in how you move about the open world. if it plays the way it looks like it does this might bump ds1 out of my #1 spot for FROM games.

i have a feeling they don't you know what I mean though, erra can get carried away with technicality, and don't get me wrong I love that shit when it works, but these guys seem a lot more focused on this album. it's just two very different styles of song writing. who cares tho you're just going to argue regardless, neither of us have time for that. you stoked about shadows die twice?

off the top of my head there's a LOT less guitar wank here, which sometimes it feels like erra writes songs to accommodate their very talented guitarists noodling and that has a strong effect on the song structures.

when I said goals did you imagine I meant the band sitting at a conference table in button up shirts and ties, lead singer using a laser pointer to go over his power point presentation of the 10 bullet points representing what he wanted from this album and now it's on me to relay those points to you? or do you think this and erras album do sound the same and you want me to explain to you why i think they do not. because that's all I meant by 'goals'. they set out to make very different albums and saying one shit on the other is like saying the new Eminem album took a shit on WSTR. is this really that important to you or are you just having a bad day?

ice nine kills' best album was 'safe is just a shadow'. the rerecorded version is still linked here of you search their name. this certainly does not 'crap on erra'.... they are two very different albums accomplishing unique sets of goals. both jam tho and this years been a good one for -core genres, you hopped on at the right time!

yeah I've been jamming For the Better a ton since release... what i first considered shallow is now just like 'easy listening' phc without having to be 'easy core' tho I think I like FtB a lot more than this

from what I've heard of these guys I'm pretty excited for this. the singles have been refreshingly creative...

for sure. infact there was so much fun experimentation between 07-13 but they say the music you're listening to the first time you experience 'love' is the type of music you always consider the best
