  1. Holy shit uhhh never mind, audio is real fucked up. And in like a really fucking weird way too, it's like her voice comes thru just fine but the ambient music sounds like it's getting put thru the world's craziest flanger. It sounds totally 100% normal in VLC but it's fucked up in iTunes.

God I hope she drops an instrumental-only version of this tho. The music is a lot more than just looping ambient stuff, it's straight up legit compositions.

  2. Was absolutely not expecting Taylor Swift of all artists to come thru with an AOTY contender. This would be a perfect record if Bon Iver's voice wasn't on exile.

Woah what the fuck is going on in this thread? And y'all think I'm bad on this site when I make fun of J-pop idols? Y'all on another level of fuckery.

  3. Excited for new Gunna music but so fucking over the "deluxe" trend already. Streaming services are criminals for underpaying artists so bad that they have to release an entire second album's worth of new music as a "deluxe edition". The Pi'erre Bourne one from last month still pisses me off because it's literally a full front-to-back experience under the name "TLOP4 Deluxe", the songs even blend into one-another as if he put complete and total thought into it. That jawn could have been called TLOP5. I'm just over this dumbass trend, it totally ruins the artform of the concept of The Album.

  4. Fuck wow, between this, Popstar, and the potential the Dark Lane tape showed for his possible comeback, I legit think the next Drake album could actually be pretty decent if he keeps this energy up. This is the best Drake has sounded on anything in a very long time.

Like, people are definitely gonna clown him for how his voice sounds on here, but you can't say this isn't more enjoyable than all the boring shit on Scorpion.

  5. Y'all are tripping, this might be their second best record to date tbh. They're totally taking their sound into different places now. Might not be everyone's cup of tea, but this still feels just like The Midnight, no identity crisis, just stepping into a bit of new ground.

Honestly, I'd never listened to this band before, but I'm listening to "Oh Calcutta" on bandcamp right now and you're right, it's really good!

I don't listen to Green Day much to be honest, but some songs in the new album gave me some hints of that (closer than anyone else I could think much of anyway).  Not a strong comparison though, just some reminders.

Honestly it's worth checking some of their other records too. Larry Arms fans usually have no agreement between Oh Calcutta, The Greatest Story, and recently Metropole as well.

  7. Oh fuck oh fuck I wasn't expecting this to leak. This is gonna be GOAT, these dudes do not make an album unless they're really confident that it'll be better than their last one.

Edit: Oh my fucking GOD this is good. Not sure if it quite reaches the highs of Metropole but it's fucking excellent.

  8. Bad Vibes Forever energy coming from this one. I'm sure it'll be like good cause he had a lot more music done than X did apparently, but he apparently had a finished album back in December with the title "The Outsiders" so for Interscope to go and either change the name or drop whatever the fuck this instead is a little gross. I just don't fucking think this guy would have called his finished album "Legends Never Die".

Edit: Yeah, the album is a Juice WRLD album, I had no doubts about that. Sounds like Juice WRLD. If you like Juice WRLD, you'll like the album, probably a lot, there are some fun stylistic/genre choices on here and only a handful of tracks sound like over-produced posthumous tracks (notably the endings of Conversations, Bad Energy, and the entire Halsey song). But it's a good collection of songs. It's simple as that as far as the actual music goes, but this is a really disgusting ploy to capitalize off of grieving fans rather than releasing the artist's artistic vision that was finished during his lifetime. The actual third album was supposed to come out a few days before he died but the label delayed it.

Remember how before even hearing it I said Bad Vibes forever? Same fucking intro, the corny "epic sad" instrumental with spliced audio clips of Juice saying "inspirational" shit. Absolutely disgusting, Interscope should be both ashamed and held legally accountable for necrophilia. If you're a really big Juice WRLD fan, this should both please and absolutely disgust you. Enjoy the music, sure, but do not be complacent and quiet about major record labels doing this type of shit to a dead artist, especially when the artist still had more things that they wanted to do.

If Juice had an album that he wanted to put out in his lifetime, that should have been the first priority for the record label, to respect the dead artist's vision and not fucking compromise it.

Fuck all record labels who do this type of shit.

I think they actually disbanded this year and this is their last release, Ladybeard is now in "Deadlift Lolita" I think? And the others made music as "The Idol Formerly Known As LADYBABY"

Oh, you know, you're right. All of that rings a bell, guess that shows how much I stopped paying attention lol

It's "alright" but I miss the Nippon manju era. They had their unique style back then, now I feel they are trying to be BABYMETAL but it's not doing it for me.

I know it's a decision from their production team but it's a shame really.

I feel like they should have just ditched being Ladybaby altogether and rebranded entirely. Like what's even the point of trying to continue the same way when you've lost your gimmick? So boring now. I feel like Dots was the last idol group truly worth a shit and even before then, it all kind of just fell apart a little after BiSH.

I've listened to this band on-and-off for years now, kept coming back to them because I see them everywhere. Indie Synth is my favorite genre; however, I've never truly been able to get into them/feel the urge to listen to them again. Something here just falls short for me. I will keep trying them though, something may click. This track is not clicking for me.

idk man, this is probably my favorite band in the like "synthwave" movement. Something just so good about them. Endless Summer is like the pinnacle of the genre last decade.

  12. Holy fuck they're trying so hard to write a political record but are either speaking in such generic terms or such specific terms to the point that it's kind of cringey and cliche. Rise Against did the same thing with their shitty Trump album too.

Hip-hop is truly the genre that punk wants to be right now. No filter, no bullshit generalizing, just straight to the point, and I say this as someone who was a huge A-F fan growing up, like I was so deep into them I even had the White Wives CDs and everything, but this is...god even the production is just so sterile...

Oxygen, Shadow are great, some of the best, Sweet Summer is not a bad tune, actually growing on me lately. I thought &TWICE was pretty great, the only songs I dislike on that one are Happy Happy and the closer I guess. Fancy You will stay their best release.

Oh yeah, I'm just talking their domestic releases, they still have a bit of charm left with their Japanese releases because that market wouldn't want to en-masse buy their recent shift in concept lol, all of their Japanese releases have been solid. Shame we gotta disagree here now tho, cause Fancy is right where I think they fell off. Can't even remember how any song on that record sounds no matter how many times I've listened to it. Think I'll find myself going back to this a lot more than that.

Lol I would get downvoted hard by you if you read my rant on the original post. This is their worst ep imo, it's so fucking generic it's unbelievable

Not really, it's definitely top 3 worst along with the previous two tho, like there's no denying that. The songs aren't bad, but they're bad Twice songs, and generic is the exact word I would use. You could tell me this is like...idk, any other random generic girl group I've never actually listened to and I would believe you lmao

idk, there are a few good songs on here, I think Sweet Summer Day is the only one that even sounds remotely like Twice tho, but overall yeah, Twice lost their identity when they started trying super hard to drop the "cute concept" or whatever
