    Edit: Keep coming back to this, it's just fucking excellent. It's a shame, I used to be a dumb gatekeeper dumbass dipshit hardcore punk kid and bully all the other sad teenagers in high school for listening to these guys, but getting into them now, they're excellent. Would I have gotten into them back then? Probably not.

     

    I was at least slightly warranted cause those kids were problematic and toxic as shit, but like, that's just an individualized experience. It's just a shame that that left me with a complete kneejerk reaction for so many years to this band. Fucking excellent. Got into all their other records after hearing this and their artistic evolution has just been 👩‍🍳😘👌

    Yeah, it's fun, it's more Ghostemane, and that's always fine with me, but yeah, he keeps hyping up every album to be the "next big thing" or some kind of profound experimental statement (he did the same with NOISE) but it always just sounds like more Ghostemane, again, not that that's a bad thing.

    Well I mean the specific reason has to do with the original creative director leaving the company. That's why # took so long to come out, BBC was left with absolutely nobody who knew how to actually do the music and art side of the comeback (this dude was a creative powerhouse who got a bad rap put on him but fans looking for someone to blame and he was the only visible face with a name from the company), and that's also why Lee Soo Man from SM Entertainment produced this and #, they accepted his very very expensive handout while already broke from how much military arms dealer money they invested into Jaden and his pre-debut project for LOONA.

     

    So like, yeah, there is a very real and very glaring reason that LOONA's quality and consistency in output has dropped so much. Genuinely tho, I think BBC is stupid for trying to maintain a professional route when LOONA was basically just a high concept art project to begin with. I have no idea why they feel they need to continue spending so much money when they could save more and probably make huge headlines with great PR by reaching out to the fans who've made tons of LOONA inspired music and have them help out with the comeback. Look up Orbitverse and JenMusic/Jennaethemaid if you get the chance, incredible stuff, and they know how LOONA sounds better than LOONA's own bumblefuck company does now. They could do it better than fucking SM Entertainment, and they would probably do it for free.
