Man this one feels like a b-sides cutting room floor, Vol. 1 showed so much promise for them, but this just shits the bed. This is coming from a person that used to like them at one point, it's sad to see how bad they've gotten. DOTD was horrible, V was meh, and Vol 1 was a nice return to a somewhat form. This is just a disappointment.

I think they need to just hang it up, things are only getting worse from here.

I agree with you most of the time. This Vol. is a huge letdown after the great comeback(for me at least). Except two songs:

Idol: Its still great and brings good energy to the table, instead of these other boring songs

Unholy: I love HU, when they go a bit experimental. Short and sweet, i really like it.

And thats it. Really really boring and meh. Seems like my journey with HU comes to an end again....after one album xD

Its nice to have new soad songs of course, but after these stories about "some members WANT to make new music, others don't", i cleary hear, who don't wants to be in this. Serj just sounds like "a fuck it, okay i will do two songs but thats it". He doesn't even try to sound any emotional in my ear( i know, i should hear smth else and die alone in a corner xD) and he kinda destroys these songs for me. The rest is fine, not the best by any means, but its decend. Even Genocidal Humanoidz could be a good song, if it had more power in the vocals. At least Serj sings a bit better in there.

Holy shit, Dear Diary fucked me in the ass, without even knowing it....and i love it. And right now, the last song ended and....goddamn, did they had to tease it at the end? xD I really thought, Obey would be the only "heavy" banger, but this was pure fire. Thank you bmth

First half very nice, second half is very "meh" and "are you serious?". Im thankful, that Gorillaz showed me, what kind of strange music i can like(and without them, i wouldn't know so many bands today) but the ambition of "making music with everyone" is sometimes hit or miss. And this album shows it clearly. At the end, even Albarn left the ship and is nowhere to be found xD

Edit: Oh, so thats why. This was the Deluxe Edition, i see. I thought that would be the full album, but it seems, it ends with Momentary Bliss. Damn this changes everything xD But i gotta say, the deluxe edition sucks ass. Im so glad, that these songs aren't on the standard version xD Im serious, "Simplicity" is one of worst songs, i've heard from them. And what the fuck was "With Love to an Ex"? Did Damon just left the studio and said: "A well, do what you want, im out mate".

For the second Season: Please, choose your guests wisely. And for myself: Think, before you write smth awful xD

Nah, i think Friday 13th was kinda....i don't know. Maybe its just not my type of music. This song on the other hand, sounds like classic Gorillaz to me. Really good stuff.

Okay, its now one of my favourites too. I couldn't get over these Messiah parts, so i made my own 17 minutes version of it^^ Works much better now

Very good Album, but right now, my "Best of Prog" Award goes to Protest the Hero. On Virus, there are no weak songs, but these Messiah Complex songs...damn i wish they would connect to each other. As for me, they reprise many songs but don't really create a whole song experience. But still, good album.

Wow, after the first new single  i was kinda shocked, how wierd these vocals were on this track. I had to listen it at least 10 times to get in. Now im hearing the second last song and he even screams again. Not like the Fortress era, but its great. Im really really suprised by this album. One of the best things they put out in years. I already like it much more than Volition and PM

I never understood why this website ships this band so much. After Prisoner i knew why and now im through my first listen to this album.

Beside one or two songs, i really like this album.

Highlights so far: Prisoner, Lyrics Lie, Calentamiento Global, Born to Fail, Say Hi and Nothing Shameful

Its a suprise, when even wikipedia doesn't know anything about these albums. But tbh, as someone who can listen to NIN from time to time, this is nothing for me. I can listen to instrumentals maybe once or twice but then im bored, no matter how good it is. These two albums are no exceptions. I was looking forward to this, but i already pass on this one

Never listen to these guys(even as a german) and the funny thing is, i couldn't tell, if they sing in english or german right now xD Very odd vocals on that part, but my ears are getting used to it. Very good record!

Thx for the leak! Im only seven songs in, but i like it. There is one small problem: I thought, it would be "crazier" than this so far. Its solid Avant Garde Metal, with a few variations in it, but besides Very Noise, Nervous Waltz and Musette Maximum, everything is good and normal. Thats not a bad thing, but i really thought, i need a few listens to get into it.

Well fuck HU, you finally did it again. Smth in my mind still wanted to have a good/decent HU album. Vol.1 is much more than that.

Yep, another great song from him. Chorus is really catchy and beautiful
