I started lurking here around 2016 when the Stage leaked early. I joined the discord server back in 2017 when Trivium released TSATS and had a blast talking to the community. After that I used this site for all things music. This site helped me explore many sides of music that I wouldn't have even listened to normally. This site was the best way for me to find out if and when a band/artist was making an album or releasing new music. I will miss this site, but I look forward to talking to you all on the discord. Thanks for the memories Kingdom-Leaks!(no pun intended)

Dear Diary: 4/5, this song was a great opener and a great intro into Parasite Eve.
Parasite Eve: 4/5. good song all around
Teardrops: 5/5, just loved the Linkin Park vibes
Obey: 3.5/5, I always found Yungblud to be a bit obnoxious so it was hard to get into, but i love the bridge and the chorus
Itch for the cure/Kingslayer: 4/5, Musical whiplash, the song. I loved all the parts of the song, especially the "Shut the fuck up" bits. but some parts were a bit jarring so i can understand some people's distain for this song.
1x1: 3/5, your standard modern rock song. nothing special to write home about.
Ludens: 5/5: The song that started it all, and one of my favorites from them.
March Toward Your Death: 4.5/5, It was great to hear amy lee, since i haven't heard her in a while, and I loved the buildup that leads to nothing. Like a march to your death would be like.
Overall: 4/5. a must listen if you're a fan

I find it funny when a song from a well known band uses a tried-and-true song structure, everyone screams they've sold out! they aren't creative anymore! They're abandoning their true fans! Bitch please, if that statement were true, then almost every artist out there would be a sellout. I'm of the mindset of letting the artist do whatever the fuck they want. They're the ones making the music, not you. If a song bops, its a pop. and in my mind this song is a bop. and the new Architects song is ok. Just because it has more singing than screaming and doesn't include a super-duper-mega-face-destroying breakdown with overly technical riffs, doesn't automatically make it a shit tier song.
alright, rant over. I'm prepared for the storm of downvotes or whatever may come. Just enjoy the music

This will get me flack but I'll say it. Sometimes, heavy does not automatically mean good. Sure the heaviness adds to the experience, but if heavy is all that it is, you'll just have a whole lot of nothing. Case and point, God of Fire.

This album did nothing for me, Dark Skies was better over all. 6.5/10 for me
at least I still have Killer Be Killed's new album to look forward to.

after a first listen i was able to make a rough list
Songs I really liked: Silence in the Age of Apes, Colossus, and Child
Songs I kinda liked: God of Sick Dreams, Justice, Gun, Wormhole, and A Secret Door
Songs I didn't care for all that much: Scream Until You Wake, and When All But Force Has Failed
-
much appreciated, cant wait to dig in
-
Thematically it is similar to FMTS, but sounds like a cross between Shooting Star and Oroborus. very interested to see how the new album turns out

Tech's verse was nice, and when the drop first happened, it was cool. However, after a while the song got repetitive when the same drop happened over and over. Had the same sorta feeling like I did with the new Fit for a King song.
6.5/10

Albums that i was hyped for, but ultimately disappointed me: Mother (In This Moment), Machines(Then Comes Silence), Heartwork (The Used), The Kingdom (Bush)
The album that everyone hyped up, but I didnt like: Afterburner (Dance Gavin Dance)
The album that seemed like it had the most potential, but ultimately didn't live up to the expectations: I Disagree (Poppy)
The Biggest train wreck of the year so far: Like A House On Fire (Asking Alexandria)
-
the repeated give you up on "Give You Up"(shocker) is extremely jarring and kinda sad people are still using this shit in 2020
-
i came into this record expecting a lesser Self titled, and got exactly that, but a little less than that. god damn all the verses suck ass, and its kinda sad to hear danny try to sing when he clearly cant

instrumentation is good, vocals are lacking and the song doesnt really go anywhere. 6.5-7/10

like i said before, people will like this, and there will be people who dont. Then there are people who like insulting those to like this just because its "cool". Just let people like what they like. This aint my AOTM (Thats gonna go to Trivium's new album), and is definitely not my AOTY, but i can tell there is effort. eh whatever, bullies will be bullies i suppose? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

this may not be as great as TSATS, but holy hell its still great. the 3 singles we got, The Defiant, Sickness Onto You, and Bending The Arc Into Fear are my personal favorite tracks. The other tracks are good in their own rights, but not as good.

None of the songs here are bad per se, Prisoner and Three Wishes were good listens imo, but the rest was some what samey and interchangeable. I do see the appeal in these and can understand if people will call this AOTY, but this aint for me. Then again this is the first DGD album i listened to.

a lot of this album is just boring, as she sounds as though she isn't really trying. No songs have no energy, and the cover songs are extremely cringe worthy, especially the queen cover

Better than Revival, but a bit worse than Kamikaze. need more time with the album but thats how i feel atm
-
yeah when i first heard this song's chorus, I too thought of "Best day of my life" now the song is ruined for me xD. In all seriousness though, I think All Out Life was a better song.

I never took these guys seriously, I honestly just find them as a fun band to listen to and enjoy. Though i will say DOTD was their weakest effort. Five was honestly a good return to form for them and allowed me to enjoy them again. I don't hate them at all, i dont take them too seriously, and i think a lot of others need to do that as well. I'll just be the detractor and say Swan Songs is one of the biggest cringe and edge fests ive ever heard. I get that its the album that made them "big", but man has that album not aged well for me.

Hollywood Undead - New Empire, Vol. 2 (2020)

*Sigh*... alright one more time.
Medicate 3/5: an ok song but really disjointed and i think the mixing is really bad on this one
Coming through the Stereo: 2/5: Just pathetic, lyrics are really bad
Ghost Out: 2/5: boring, and j3t's vocals seem to be getting worse with every release of theirs
Gonna be Ok: 2/5: lyrics are bad and vocals are just lame
Monsters 2/5: I actually laughed with j3t trying, keyword is trying, to sing when he really cant sing worth shit. Lyrics are skin level deep.
Idol 2.5/5: cringe, Tech's verse and the drop are listenable, everything else is just bad
Coming Home 3.5/5: Decent enough for once, but thats not good enough to make up for the shit show that happened before.
Unholy 2/5: boring and lyrics are laughable
Worth it 1/5: Man what in the actually fuck is this? The chorus is bad and the versus are standard fare for them.
Overall score: 2/5.
Man this one feels like a b-sides cutting room floor, Vol. 1 showed so much promise for them, but this just shits the bed. This is coming from a person that used to like them at one point, it's sad to see how bad they've gotten. DOTD was horrible, V was meh, and Vol 1 was a nice return to a somewhat form. This is just a disappointment.
I think they need to just hang it up, things are only getting worse from here.
