  1. This is something I'd personally love to do. But I don't think I'm going to message an admin to apply, I know full well I have a rough history in chatbox, and with actually being on staff and trusted, and even having rough history with the admins. But, I'm glad you guys finally did this, and I'm really happy you listened to the feedback from me and other users from a week ago

Sounds like the heavy = good crowd needs to grow up a bit tbh

Not sure what this comment has to do with the album, as this album is pretty heavy, all things considered, definitely wouldn't say it's soft

I'm aware the person you're replying to also said that it was mellow, maybe on like, 3 songs of the 13 song tracklist?

"Into the Great Beyond" is absolutely badass. Gonna check this album out ASAP

EDIT: This is one of the best metalcore records I've ever heard...wtf, where did this come from?! I'm a sucker of this style and those riffs/screams are TOP-notch. The production is ridiculously epic. 10/10

It's a compilation of re recordings from their very early works, just with their current vocalist. It's very nice

It started with movies...then video games...now music...we are in the age of remaster/re-release it seems.

This is crowdfunded, and there have been far more releases in all 3 if these genres than there have been remakes/remasters

It's a pretty good album, but I would have rather had something new. This sounds exactly like anything else everyone else does today, so sadly it gets pretty meh. Even though the songs were awesome for their time.

They're also working on a new record, this was just something they had crowd funded

    hahaha what now mun..

it's what i think about most remasters

    1: it's a re recording, not remaster

2: this was, to my knowledge, crowd funded, which means, the crowd wanted this

pls tell me, were was the creativity in the last two singles?? :D

Pls tell me where the creativity was for this single. But I'll humor you

    1: pacing

2: breaking the mirror had pretty neat electronic bits for FFAK, not generally creative. Just creative for FFAK.

Don't suddenly go on the defensive because the entire thread yeeted you, that was NOT your original point.

Your original point was that this release was a cash grab, once you got proven wrong you completely switched course.

No, people can feel free to hate it or dislike it if they want.

The guy earlier was making objectively false points though unrelated to the music composition, which is why I called him a contrarian. He was clearly fueled by nostalgia.

I've read this whole thread, and I don't think anything he says was "objectively" wrong, and how was he fueled by nostalgia? He doesn't even like the original

Let's ignore the dude trying to be a contrarian on the previous pages and talk about how awesome the record is.

I absolutely LOVE how Beautiful Remains sounds now with its undercurrent of now clearly audible rhythmic guitar melodies, especially during the chorus. I've been listening to the album nonstop lately.

Quit pot stirring an argument that was already told not to continue.

"Contrarian" are you implying every single person has to enjoy this album by the way? And if they don't than they're disliking it only because it's popular? Not trying to start an argument, genuine question

Dunno about that buddy. As It Is have improved album after album. While Okay was "ok", TGD is peak As It Is just saying.

Not at all. TGP was a very boring attempt to try and pull an MCR album

I just give you the, in my opinion, 10 best post-hardcore albums:

    01. Letlive - Fake History (this is the best album ever)

    02. Emery - In Shallow Seas We Sail

    03. Thrice - The Artist in the Ambulance

    04. Alexisonfire - Watch Out!

    05. Jamie's Elsewhere - They Said A Storm Was Coming

    06. Underoath - They're Only Chasing Safety

    07. Funeral For A Friend - Casually Dressed & Deep In Conversation

    08. He Is Legend - I Am Hollywood

    09. Senses Fail - Still Searching

    10. Dance Gavin Dance - Downtown Battle Mountain

    Some essentials:

Saosin - Translating the Name (this was the start of a whole era full of singers who sounded like a teenage girl)

At the Drive-In - Relationship of Command (for the most people the best phc album of alltime, even tho they didn't even tried to be phc)

Glassjaw - Worship and Tribute (this album influenced basically 90% of all PHC bands)

    Fugazi - The Argument

    Hopesfall - The Satellite Years

Refused - The Shape of Punk to Come

    Boysetsfire - After the Eulogy

The only one of these I don't agree with is Still Searching (it's literally my favorite album of all time), it's majorly pop punk/emo, with a few PHC songs here and there
