It has a handful of great songs...but the album as a whole is not amazing.

But that's just my opinion...like you have yours...and that other guy can have his.

BMTH fans in 2020 are so sensitive.

OG bmth fans put up with so much hate back in the day, this is nothing haha

Tbf a lot of og BMTH fans can be sensitive towards people who like the new music, and gatekeep the band

I remember when TTS released and my Facebook was flooded with people saying "if you started with TTS you aren't a real fan" or "if you like this soft shit you never liked BMTH to begin with"

@Dancing in the Dust  I’m not surprised you feel that way when comparing Animate: Void and this new record, the thing is that that lineup unfortunately never got to a place where we would be playing shows/practicing/working etc consistently enough so the band simply had to change and members left right before that album ever came out. The original members that remain are the guitarist and myself the vocalist.

As far as the material in the future (studio date nov. 22 lol) there will be a balance with very heavy material and almost rockier stuff with melody and bigger chorus’s, still with some nu-metal influence. I definitely think you will enjoy it man!

Gloom is so heavy because it was simply how we all felt during the times it was recorded, it’s simple, but with very good material hidden within its contents, my personal favorite is Fracture, thank you again for listening my friend.

    My favorite was the closer

Thank you for the interaction, and I look forward to the future releases

  3. I walked into this expecting something along the lines of Animate: VOID in sound

This was far heavier and better than I expected, and it's almost hard to believe this is the same band that did Animate: Void.

Sounds, and I don't think this is a stretch, as it's in the genre tags, very Nu-Metal at times, and ironically, in spots, sounds Like The Gloom in The Corner

I'm just curious will there be softer stuff in the future, or full steam ahead heavy?

synth work is pretty similar to everything on hybrid theory or meteora.
mildly harsh vocals but not screaming.
    soft pop hooks.
start and stops followed by sweeping synth sound into chorus. (rlly in most pop metalcore)
If you listen to first half of hybrid theory and then don't see comparison, I'd be surprised.

unless u were joking/trolling, in which case your comment was hilarious.

More so I was extremely tired, I had just woke up and didn't fully register everything I heard

  5. After sitting with this song for a few hours I still don't like it, or think it's remotely great or incredible, why?

Where's the tects identity? Changing sounds is fine, but if you sat me down, played this song for me without telling me who it was by, I would never guess it was Architects.

I am going to do something I usually don't and say that I see a lot of people in this thread who shit on other bands for doing this same sound, praising this sound when it's probably, outside of instrumentals, one of the most boring directions any band can go in to "change" their sound

This to me just sounds like the same shit bands like The Word Alive, Escape the Fate, and many other bands have tried doing

And yes, people did want tects to change, but no one is obligated to enjoy that change if it's not a change they enjoy the sound of, some comments here seem to think that just because they finally did something different, means that people who wanted them to do that have to enjoy it or they're hypocrites, which is a nonsensical take

Yet you still felt mentioned and moved to downvote. ;)

I downvoted you because you saying people are making regurgitated statements, while you're regurgitating a statement, is pointless

    Also needlessly calling people illiterate

Everytime this website gets into a political spergout it's such a perfect display how illiterate most of you are and either repeat leftist, centrist or right talking points.

My whole argument here is purely that if people are against Fever discussing these topics, they haven't been listening to Fever very closely

    eHHHH.

Love Jason's older work but this speaks with politically naive 16 year olds.

Hard pass on the cringe lyrics from me, unfortunately. The songs themselves are alright, just nothing to call home about. I loved Letlive, like pressure cracks (although the second EP has the same problem this has in terms of repetition), but this band has been massively hit and miss. The first ep had its moments and the Lp was good but nothing stuck aside from a couple of tracks.

Lyrics with a valuable message = cringe lyrics aimed at 16 year olds?

I love TF333 and I understand the problem where I see it every day in my city. I don't want TF333 to go only on one side, get on this "trend" or even being generic with the lyrics like Gift Giver or SFTP. Saw them live and Jason gave me an high five for my TF333 Battle Vest !

Edit : can't spell SFTP right... Fuck.

I'm not even sure why this upsets you, this is the stance Fever has had since Made an America and Sin

A good portion of their song Inglewood is all about racial injustice towards the latino/spanish/black community he grew up around

He mentions growing up during riots a few times on SIN and bring very supportive of change

So if you don't like this Fever release, you probably don't like Fever

I really loved Black Lines and how they went into a slightly heavier kind of sound and wish they kind of still did that every once in a while instead of the more country styles they put on sunnyland

I don't think Sunnyland has any more country styles at all, if anything Sunnyland was a much larger return to form along the lines of Self Titled and Anywhere But Here

All of their artwork is hand draw and cartoon esque as of late?

Jays vocals are some of the best out there at the moment but to each their own I guess

    Artwork part aside

Jay's vocals have certainly come a long way, look at his vocals back in Fear Me, then look at them in Flesh & Bones and the recent singles, dude's shot up in his abilities

  12. First: imagine having a problem with a band calling their album "The Album" like it's a profound thing no band has ever done. It's not a statement, it's just marketing

That being said, this is a fun album, that's what I come to pop for, so it's doing its job for me
