I ended up voting for Whitechapel because I really and truly think it was a huge step up over previous material, and is a great step in a new direction for the genre. Other notable releases for me included Surroundings, Devin Townsend, Brutus, WSS, Johnny Booth, La Dispute, Foals, etc. Needless to say it was a pretty great month for music.
