    Yeah so... not sure how I feel about this. I want to like this but I can’t. This album just feels so boring and shallow to me. Maybe it’s the quality, idk. I’ll give it another listen when 320 drops but who knows if that’ll change my mind. This is definitely their weakest album to me next to Self Inflicted. And this is also arguably their weakest lineup. Unpopular opinion too: I don’t like Pablo doing vox like 90% of the time. 

     

    Sucks ass too because this was my favorite deathcore band and now they’ve basically burned out to me it seems. 

     

    Only songs I can see myself playing occasionally are: The Wolf, See You Soon, Scent of Evil

     

    Last minute observation: how can Josh fucking Travis be involved with this and this album still be so boring. Yikes

    Seems better than the other singles. Which isn’t hard to do. Still lacks punch though. 

     

     But holy shit do I feel like they’re playing it super safe with their song structures. Like, I’m only hard on this band because they were my number one deathcore band but now I’m afraid their time is up. I’ll listen to tab album first of course before making that call but so far I’m beyond underwhelmed.

    Yikes. This is painfully average and generic sounding. I really hope they’re getting the generic deathcore 101 tracks out of the way as singles because this shit is kinda weak. This sounds like a Self Inflicted b-side track. Smfh. 

     

    Theres no no way this album is gonna top My Damnation at this rate.

    Yeah Evolve would be runner up IMO. But I barely touch Self Inflicted. The only song I still bump is American Dream lol

I wish him good health regardless, dude basically introduced me to deathcore and gave us some damn good material over the years.

     

    To be honest, his lyrical prowess isn’t the strongest. And the albums mentioned reflect that. I’d argue the strongest lyrics were on My Damnation since they had to fit more of a theme.

    Oh, I can't help but notice that finally a CG song doesn't have the word fuck..

     

    Lorna makes good songs but I feel like they stretch them out way too long. Some of their songs don’t need to be like 5 minutes long

    So, so, sooooo conflicted right now. 

     

    I fuck with Lorna Shore. I fucked with CG even longer. It’s weird seeing this band without at least one original member left. But now things are all different...maybe for the better? Alex had such a long run with them and I never, ever in a million years would’ve imagined he’d he leave. I figured the band would just call it quits or something before then. 

     

    Wow. Sigh. 

     

    Song’s cool. Tom’s cool. It’s gonna take a long fucking time for me to come to grips with the fact that this is CG now. If someone would’ve told me in the past when I saw both LS and CG on the DoE Tour that Tom would be taking Alex’s place, I would’ve just laughed in their face and said “no way.” But, here we are...

     

    Excited for the album nonetheless and I hope Alex drops a new record under his new project.

    I take the album for a very middle-of-the-road album. Not bad but not spectacular to me in any regard. I always give btf a chance when they drop a new album and everytime I walk away with the same “meh, that was alright” sentiment

    Very meh album. Not good, not bad. Too middle of the road for me. They don’t seem to do anything too particularly well but they  have great foundation and technique with what they do. I’ve listened to every album of theirs minus maybe...one? And I’ve walked away with the same feeling of just “meh.” 

     

    I hate to do it it but I can almost compare them to TAA where they have one specific sound that they know how to do well and that’s really it. Which I mean, if you like it, then that’s all good. It’s just not for me.

    Ok but memes aside, if you trim some fat off this (aka most of the trappy shit) you would be kept with an album that is a lot better and more varied than his debut "17", he is REALLY good when he tries. I'm a huge fan of his guitar driven stuff, along with the acoustic/piano stuff, even if a cunt, he portrays the emotion well. Changes is like Orlando on steroids and I love it. 

     

    Sadly he doesn't really take himself that seriously half the time, and songs like "$$$" featuring a fucking 12 year old "rapper", the fucking "shawty lemme smash" song, then the fucking "I don't even speak spanish lol" meme (which I actually adore and find rather catchy and vibey, even if it's a meme and/or a dig at similar music, it's well produced lol. 

     

    So I don't fucking know why I wrote two paragraphs on this cunt, but there's definite unrefined talent inside this motherfuck.

     

    I wish I could like his music without my feelings of him as a person getting in the way but I just can’t. He’s such an insufferable, woman beating cunt that deserves to be in jail
