We Never Learned To Live - The Sleepwalk Transmissions (2019)
desk replied to Rorschach's topic in Post-Hardcore
Shame I overlooked it a bit before doing my top 50 AOTY meme. The vocalist + it being mostly post-hardcore makes it sound like Thousand Below if they actually wrote mature and memorable music filled with post-metal/post-rock influences instead of the more alternative rock/risecore type shit. Great album for sure, check it out. -

Second track is so good, third track is like Why You Gotta Kick Me When Im Down x 28 Weeks Later OST, this so far is basically what I wanted more out of amo, so I'm glad they actually had the balls to do this. Halsey track is like the superior version of the Grimes track we got on amo, this is fucking great. Track 6 is BEAUTIFUL and the loud electronics in the second half are incredible. Track 7 is incredible as well, what a fucking vibe. Jordan is legit a fucking god. This is unironically better than Amo if you skip Underground Big's meme.

Honestly this shit has easily their best production yet, sounds so god damn doomy and dark too, but not overbearingly so, plus it really speeds the fuck up and changes shit up when necessary. Actually getting some FFAA and post-metal vibes from this as well. I genuinely would get bored of their albums halfway through but this is genuinely fucking great.

After he's been doing the most random shit possible in the last few years with his naming conventions and marketing this shouldn't impress you whatsoever I love the little elements to his music like he sings "Sometimes I just can't stand up" and then uses this fucking audio sample right after Pretty sure 80/20SkyBeef is also some satirical take on 21st decade's obsession with productivity and entrepreneurship hence the 80/20 principle and SkyBeef absurdity. Either way, very solid tunes this time around, he knows how to mix electronic layers very well.

Stain The Canvas - Unknown/Hell Made Me (Singles) (2019)

Same lmao, I found out about them in late 2012 when I was still mostly into entry level core but they blew me away with TITS, then after the initial hype of those two albums died down a bit the fuckers started rolling out singles for Brainwashed and then the album blew me away even more than TITS, but after that it's just not the same, riffs are getting less interesting, Loz keeps getting vocal surgeries, song structures become too predictable and anthemic (nothing will beat fucking Seven Hills anyways) sounding so yeah, around roughly 2013-2015 WSS were easily in my top 3. Funny thing, Bury Tomorrow, WSS, BMTH, Architects, all these british core bands were at the top of their game around 2013-2014 but now all of them are so off their game it's crazy.
