I get your point tho, just move on to younger bands than shit on your old favorites who want to change... but I think people are more upset with a perceived lack of integrity from the artists they grew up with. 

In fairness, whenever a band that screams releases a song without screaming, there are a TON of complaints about it on here.  The ONLY song i can think of that was immune to this was A Grave Mistake.  INK gets a pass for some reason.  I was ready to fist fight anyone who complained, and there were none....not here, not even on the vile cesspool of villainy that is Facebook.  

As far as "integrity"....its an interesting way of thinking of it.  Bands obviously want to make money, and appeal to the biggest audience they can.  So can they compromise their integrity by releasing music that is less technical, or "dumbed down"?  I don't know how I feel about that.  I didn't feel that Bullet for my Valentine lacked integrity by making Gravity.  They just tried something different.  And from and instrumental standpoint, that album is a huge departure.  Personally, I'd be happy if just made Venom or Fever over and over for the rest of their career.  But I don't fault them for trying new things, even if its not exactly what I want or expect.  

So I don't know man.....I get the impression that complaints have more to do about the screaming.  I suppose I could be wrong though.  

This is when I come here remind some

of you that screaming in way, shape, or form automatically = good.

There really isn’t any rock on the radio anymore, so calling it “radio rock” doesn’t make sense.

 And this will happen to every single screaming band you like. I don’t know why it still surprises people. Just move on to a younger band if screaming is all you want to hear. 

I never really listened to these guys before, but the 5 more recent songs I just heard were all pretty good. Their earlier stuff blows IMO. 

Its ok IMO.  Seemed to get a little boring towards the middle.  Hopefully it will grow on me.

The lyrics kind of suck. Not very excited for this album so far. 

You guys liking the core stuff so much has convinced me to listen to more of it.  I would like to thank all of you wet themselves over Motionless In White and Ice Nine Kills.  I fucking LOVE those band now. 

And this might be another.  This album overall is excellent.  I especially like When Everything Means Nothing, and Engraved.  Oblivion and The Price of Agony are up there too.  Gonna get their old albums now.  I hope they're close to as good as this.  

Someone compared this to Erra a couple of posts ago.  This CRAPS on Erra!

I would pay really good money to get an album similar to Coubt Your Blessings or Stand Up and Scream from both bands. 

And I would pay good money for them to NEVER do anything like those albums again.  Their singing is sooooo much better.  Some people are better screamers.  Not those two.  

Not bad.  Not great.  Better than their old constant screaming shit.

Very consistent, yes....but getting kind of boring IMO. This song could be any Disturbed album, and I don’t think that’s a good thing. 

Seems most of the time when bands change, they do it so drastically and people get pissed. Sometimes bands don’t change at all, and I get bored. Can’t win. 

Maybe this will will grow on me. 

This would be awesome if Slandar and Crankdat....god, I got a little nauseous just typing those names....had nothing to do with it. Would have made a great AA song. 

Instead, IMO, it’s absolute crap. Dubstep...?

Much better than that last turd they released.

Eeeexactly!  He’s almost done screaming. He can’t do it live like he used to. They’ll be much better as just a “metal” band anyway. 

I don't believe its this hard to get a few Japanese bonus tracks.  Does the internet not work over there?

It’s seriously like we haven’t heard the same albums!!!  There are PLENTY of screams on both Fever and TT. Are the guitar riffs different from the other albums?  No!  Drums?  NO!  You are literally calling it hard rock because of the AMPLIFIER SETTINGS!!!!!  There is less distortion....that’s it!  Listen to again. SAF, Fever, TT, and Venom are all the same amount of half assed metalcore. And any the majority of metalcore bands won’t be metalcore for long if the want a long and successful career.  BMTH, Asking Alexandria, Motionless in White is well on their way....the list goes on. Screaming doesn’t separate a band any more. There’s too much of it, and it all

sounds the same. Singing though....people like singing with a little screaming here and there. That sells more records, and doesn’t demolish your vocal chords. Hmmm

I don’t agree with this at all!  The Poison is different....that’s Metalcore. SAM up to Venom are all exactly the same. Even Temper Temper, which everyone hates because of the amp settings. Seriously, that’s the only difference, and to say otherwise is laughable. 

The only thing that disappoints me about this album is the lack of riffs. If you can tune down a guitar, and know how to palm mute, you can learn the majority of the album in 15 mins. It’s just a waste of their talent. That said, I still like every song. I don’t expect much in the way of screams, and would actually prefer they didn’t. So going forward, if they just have some good riffs again, I’ll be happy. 

I really hate this song. I love AIC, and always have. But this song....?. Jerry said this was an album they’ve never done before. This sounds like it could have fit right in on either of the last two album.

This album is so good!  Who cares about fucking guitar solos and constant screaming.  Give me good songs!  And thats what they did.  I really can't say a bad thing about it.  Breathe Underwater is fucking amazing!  Coma, The Very Last Time, Leap of Faith, Gravity....all perfect.  

Can't wait to see what they play live.
