@blackjordanairforce1s @blackjordanairforce1s Waterparks had a bitter fight with Equal Visions, refer to their song "Watch What Happens Next" which is basically a big fuck you to the label. Then they signed to Hopeless. Hopeless last night retweeted and said all the best to Waterparks and said they're proud of them, basically a farewell so kinda confirmed now.
Also, worth nothing earlier the new song had 300 Entertainment on the license section but has been removed since, its a transitionary single to mark the end to Fandom era so we'll have to wait a while to hear more from the band. -
@26wilsona Spotify shows licensed by 300 Entertainment. There's nothing from Hopeless Record's social media handles about it too so seems likely.

I love ND, even after the singles I tried keeping an open mind but I just can't listen to most songs on this album. I like the mellower songs over the forced anthemic choruses attempted in the other songs. I'm just gonna wait for the Knuckle Puck LP to make up for this.

However, I think this album will be a good summer vibe album which is probably what we all need in 2020. They're trying to make their music as listenable as possible so you can just listen to it whenever.
I get the whole making the songs radio friendly and appeal to a broader public but still if I had no idea who ND were before, I'd listen to this song and label it a poor 5SOS cover band song. It just sounds so outdated and its a letdown seeing the instruments being dumbed down so much, as a drummer im a huge fan of Dani and his drum parts are some of the best in the scene but this is just average radio music.

Tf are they doing?
The entire song is just okay or borderline meh but the chorus IYIYIYIYIY part just makes me cringe so hard. :'(

Just realized this EP is by Glenn Harvey, the ex-drummer of Moose Blood who got kicked out due to allegations against him. None the less, happy to see he's still at it.

My AOTY has finally arrived. Thank yooou!
Edit- what an album, definitely AOTY contender.
'Digging in' goes in haaaard. "It’s about hearing that someone I love has been raped. I knew the rapist. I’m still angry every day that he’s alive."-

I mean sure you're allowed to state your opinion but this is just plain rude as if you someone personally offended you with this album and everyone elses' personal music preference is trash.

Heard the first 10 seconds of the song linked above and knew I'd like the album and wasn't disappointed.

Every single Waterparks has put out is so different and I love that a pop-punk band is trying out all these new things and sounding so good at the same time. Love the vibes of this song.

I didn't have a lot of expectations but I really love this song and its stuck in my head from the day it came out.

I jammed to their album when it came back out in 2016 all year and this album is just as solid. Don't sleep on this!

Remember to Forget Me just might be one of my all time fav Blink songs. The acoustic guitar, piano, trap vibes and the drums on outro make it such a brilliant album closer.

Been a huge fan of their first 2 albums but just can't get into this album. Maybe a few more listens, it'll grow on me.

I've been a huge fan of Grayscale since their debut album. Loved the sound of the singles, the lyrics, specially on Baby Blue totally caught me off guard. This is easily my favorite album of the year so far. I just love the 1975 vibes incorporated as well. The drums on the album sound so so good, as a drummer its so fun to play along to these songs. The upbeat, catchy and happy vibes of the songs regardless of the lyrics is something very different from the Leaving and Adornment days but I love how they pulled off the transition to this style of music. Easily my AOTY as of now, hoping the new Waterparks album gives this a competition.

This has been my favourite DGD album and after one listen to this remaster, idk if it's some Stockholm Syndrome or something, but I'd prefer the original mix to this anyday. I know it has its issues but I've heard it so many times now, this new mix just doesn't feel right or the same despite being a lot better. Idk how my heard works. xD

@SoapMan7 I was thinking when I saw the video, how is the sound of the sitar live? Can you hear it clearly with all the other instruments in the background?
Tbvh, the sound setup in Indian venues isn't always the best but they sounded pretty solid. The guitar was a bit drowned out at times but they put on a great show and the drummer hits so hard as well. Here's an example of how they sound live, the one I went to the mix on the sitar was a lot more audible.

I saw them live back in Feb this year, they opened for Polyphia. Really solid band and really proud of an Indian band coming this far. Don't sleep on them!

There's one thing changing your sound to stay relevant in the industry but its another changing your sound everytime and pulling it off so flawlessly. Loving this direction.

This is such a big jibe at Equal Visions Records. The last song was at his ex-girlfriend. I'm just laughing here at how petty Awsten is but tf, both songs sound very different but solid af. Can't wait for October!

Just now, lukeyboy4471 said:Last album release: this is too poppy, I wish they would have stayed heavy
New single release: this feels forced, too much distortion
...
I liked Madness just as much as With Ears to See and Eyes to Hear. I get the people who had a problem with them going poppy because its not a genre they generally listen to or prefer but musically, they were still good. This just feels like someone pressurized them to write heavy stuff and Kellin's voice is a huuuuuuuuuge factor the band blew up in the first place, the distortion and processing on the track totally kills his voice for me and holds back a lot which the band has to offer.

Let just not please sleep on this band? They just released a new EP _001 which is a part 1\4 of 20 something songs which they'll release throughout the year. Some really big bangers in there.
