Just now, Coma Witch said:This song sucks lol. Go ahead and downvote me but god damn I was expecting it to be way better
Yeah... it's super formulaic and boring. By their standards, this is really bad. I tried to keep an open mind after not liking it the first time, but after two more listens, it's just not good.

2 minutes ago, Crossfire said:I agree with the potential thing. They're easily one of my favorite bands still, but they're super hit or miss and love experimenting with different shit. I definitely wouldn't say they are generic though.
When I say generic I'm mostly referring to their vocals and their riffs at times, to be fair. Their incorporation of electronic music is usually where they shine, but it doesn't lift them above other bands on its own, hence my comment on their potential.
-
Wish they'd do more of those low screams like on Endorphin. Still, pretty generic band all things considered, feel like they never realised their potential.

Proof? I like Jarrod but I'd love to see this lol.

Holy shit this is bonkers. Gonna have to hold out for higher quality.

Thought I'd let you know that track 2 is missing in the download and in the post body. That said, this is really cool.
-
Yeah I recognised that immediately from their 06 album, wonder why they redid this.

12 hours ago, desk said:@InsidAero thanks for the upload and shill on the Pick section, I really enjoyed this, I thought it might be a bit much at first with the 65 min runtime but after a while I just enjoyed most thrown at me. Very cool sound, surprised that a fairly relevant actor actually did this all on his own, talented fucking bloke.
Glad you liked it mate. It really shocked me -- this kinda just came out of nowhere from one of my favourite recent actors. I saw he put out some music and was curious as to what it would sound like, I really didn't expect anything this good nor this creative as most actor-turned-musician endeavours don't turn out well.
I hope he continues to pursue both music and acting, clearly the guy has some crazy innate talent.

27 minutes ago, bvn said:what the fuck? How did the actor who was the best part of Get Out have time to write/compose this and do almost every instrument as well? Jesus, almost want to hate how multi-talented he is. This is a deadly album though, couldn't believe how solid and unique it was from someone I'd never heard of- for music at least. Looks like it's slipped by people so far; give it a go, and berate me personally and scathingly if you don't at least like a handful of songs, especially towards the last third of the album.
Great share, great find, thanks.Couldn't have said it better myself haha.

This is a really boring cover unfortunately...

I always hate it when people compare things to La Dispute because they're usually wrong. I can definitely see it this time, but feel that they're more similar to one of the other wave bands in Touche Amore. Still good though.

God, it's just so disappointing. They've been a creative band since the beginning, and usually when they do basic, generic songs like this, they do something to make themselves stand out. Usually their quality is just so much higher than the standard metalcore sets. But this is just trash. Lost in a sea of mediocrity.
