This feels like the first real album from them in a long time. I don't immediately love it - which is a good thing. I think it will be a grower. There's a lot to unpack - but after the first listen a lot of the songs remind me of TheFutureEmbrace. There's a consistency throughout in form and style - which is unusual for SP. Also for 20 songs - the album is surprisingly short in runtime. If you listen to Billy's Zane Lowe interview about the album it definitely makes a lot of sense though. Yeah, I get what the first comments were saying about Jimmy's drumming but Billy addresses that in the interview. And I'm so glad Sierra Swan is back and in a big way. She's everywhere on this album.

Tsunami Bomb - The Spine That Binds (2019)
dearlydivided replied to Lord Kingdom's topic in Punk Rock
This is NOT Tsunami Bomb. A few old members with different vocalists and a far less impactful sound - trying to capitalize on the past fame of the name. They should have come up with a new name - and billed it (with members of Tsunami Bomb). Emily Whitehurst the main vocalist, and Matt McKenzie the bassist and backup vocalist during Tsunami Bomb's height - left the band to form The Action Design and now Emily (who constantly has to distance herself from disappointed fans of this project) is doing an awesome solo project called Survival Guide. Support that project here https://srvvlgd.com/ . No, I'm not affiliated with anyone involved with the band. I just grew up with Tsunami Bomb and was as disappointed and annoyed as anyone who was a previous fan of the band, by this album and the new incarnation of the band. -

Nine Inch Nails - recently (like yesterday) released Remastered versions of 3 of their biggest records. Broken, The Downward Spiral and The Fragile (not to be confused with The Fragile Deviations 1). It would be awesome to hear these. Nine Inch Nails - Broken EP (Remastered) (2016) Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral (Remastered) (2016) Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile (Remastered) (2016)
