Band needs to quit already
Bring on those downvotes from those who like shit music
Haha I need some pessimism before listening to it because man, I want to get stupidly hyped but those singles did nothing for me.-

Oh whoops totally missed that. Yeah I'm interested in how the HQ version turns out-

Not bad, but those drums leave something to be desired

Everything from 1:12 on with the cheap soudning gun shots and knife fx just comes of like early 2000 samplecore stuff imo.-

I like the goofiness of Debt, but yeah it kind of ruins the really solid first half that doesn't match anything on the ep

I wasn't a huge fan of the singles so I'm glad most of the other songs aren't like them.
Then again, I think they're at their best when they throw in those Architect influences like in Creature of Habit. -
Eh it started off promising but then everything just kind of blended together by the halfway point and I kind of lost interest by the end.

Perfect evolution from WTEB imo, though I have to wonder what they were talking about in that lengthy Facebook post about them being "different" when they came back. Perhaps they have some other stuff in store because this isn't all that different from everything they've done.
I thought I read this was the last song in their old style, kind of a send off. But I can't remember where I saw it. -
Ooh that opening was sick. Some real Burning Down vibes here.

I feel like every release they become close to becoming The Wombats

Hot damn this hits the spot.

It's kind of funny because I liked the Transitions EP but somehow I memory holed it. I remember liking it (it wasn't I Am Alive levels) but it didn't stick for some reason.
Also need to listen to more Dead Reflections. I liked the first half - the second was pretty mixed.

They're good stuff but don't be too worried if it doesn't click immediately. I liked what they were doing on paper but none of their albums clicked until their previous one (When the End Began) came out. Then everything else fell into place .-

Judging by the artwork, they've clearly been in a cryo chamber since 2011 and now lost in this confusing, futuristic world, they cling to the one thing most familiar to them, which is obviously Justin Bieber-

Eh, hoped they'd be able to solidify a sound but it's more of the same meh.
I didn't mind the genre switchup, it's just been so bland. -
After their debut, I was a bit worried they'd slowly keep removing the rawness from the early EP's but hoo boy does this prove that wrong.
Wonder if it's the last song on the LP or not. -
Artwork is perfect. Was hoping it was more bubbly happy folk but I think I can dig this.

What are Alesana up to these days anyway? I know they've been doing a lot of producing and reselling the trilogy, any word on new stuff?

Do be warned, I think this game goes out of it's way to penalize you if you're coming in with a souls mindset. Which was initially great and a refreshing change of pace, especially when paired with polish and quality oozing at every corner...but by the end I was sick of the mechanics and only found myself disappointed.
Had Death Stranding not come out this year, I think Sekiro would have definitely had a louder discussion on the divide it's had with fans -- for every 3 people I know that love it, I know another 2 that despised it. -

Think this is their 3rd screamer now (joined after Fragile Figures deluxe iirc).
Still kind of wished the clean singer had solo stuff / side project since it doesn't feel like this band (or his previous) is doing his voice justice. They're not bad, and they've definitely shed their "just another Risecore" stigma...but still think they could push the boundaries a bit more.

Not bad, that Greta insertion was really cringey though.
I'm kind of over all the Sagan quotes being thrown into songs, but to pick something so "topical", ugh.

Weather was good but way too short and a bit over the place.
This is still too short but feels much more cohesive now.
