Was hoping they were going to keep up the energy of Sunnyland but oh well, they've always been an easy listen for me.

Man I reaaaallly dislike this 'genre' of alt-rock these days. Just feels lifeless to me

I didn't realize they were doing remakes of their old shit, took me completely off guard. Can't believe it's been 10 years since it came out.

They never clicked with me either. Curious as to your least favorite -
The mixing feels a bit off for some reason. Still loving it tho

I dunno, from their debut this band continues to do nothing for me. I hoped the member changeups would finally make it click, because I do like them in concept. But aside from 1 or 2 singles, every album has just been so lukewarm and uninteresting to me.
And I can't really figure out why. The production, instrumentation, and of course, vocals, are all there. I like bands in the same vain. Just something about the composition doesn't sit with me I guess. -
Not my usual taste for vocal styles but this is pretty chill.
After finishing it, it's some great background music. First song is probably my least favorite, thankfully it's the most out of place song on the album -

I don't dislike it, but if you would told me this was like a new Polaris song I wouldn't have doubted you. There's a lot more interesting parts for sure, especially the solo on, but then there's so many parts that just feel a bit too safe for prog-metalcore. The ending breakdown in particular. Eye of God has perhaps less going on but feels a lot more in their style.
I can't shake the Breach 2.0 feel I guess. Which production woes aside, I eventually enjoyed....but I still don't think it stacks up to Drift let alone any Garrison/Alan era stuff.

It's weird for me. I think his unclean vocals are solid but they don't really mesh with his cleans for some reason. I don't know if they need more layering or a different type of production...because otherwise his softer stuff comes off much better.-

Digital Druglord still has a good amount of his rnb stuff, but yeah I'm not the biggest fan of his poppy shift. He''s hit it big off it and seems to be in a better state of mind, so I can't necessarily fault him.
That said, this LP has been the more enjoyable take on the poppy sound. Maybe because it fully commits instead of half-assing it like Anonymous

Oh I thought part 2 was just going to be a separate EP.
Aaaand this is the censored version. Welp that ruins half the songs lol

Is this the new Within Destruction album?

Wow this is some of her best stuff in a while. Lot more ambient than I was expecting
-
Was going to say it was a pretty safe single but then the rap part came in. Not sure if I liked it, but it's definitely interesting.
-
I still haven't figured it out - did they get a different vocalist after their debut LP or did he just get a lot better? Because I really dig this new stuff

Is this a remaster or a rerecording of their earlier stuff?

Probably my favorite discovery this year so far.
Zenith still gives me a throwback vibe to an "old" band called Cry Of The Afflicted that I hadn't thought of in years.

I'm enjoying this EP quite a bit so far, well-produced with some good guitar parts and a good mix between singing and hardcore vocals.
Yeah I don't mind the current trend of the genre (if it's even alive at this point) with all the swancore or RnB influenced bands (The Seafloor Cinema finally clicking with me this month), but I never tired of the early 2000 stuff so the more the merrier. So long as we stick before the Risecore sound-

Glad I gave this a fair shot, it's nice.

New Amanaguchi just isn't doing it for me lately. Not sure why.
Also I listened to like 12 remixes of this song and I still don't think any of them have hit the mark. I really like the original, but I think there's just a little more a good remix (dare say EDM or trance one) that could elevate it into a classic territory. -

just can't
It just sound so bland and generic for me
I wasn't originally sold on their LP but after a few listens it clicked. There's enough there to make them stand out in my mind.
This single didn't do much for me, but hopefully the EP is the same.

1 hour ago, Zephyr Sunrise said:@ggl3dde very electronically poppy sounding and a bit indie kind of but has a few twists of hip hop here and there, less r&b imo I think. Not too bad. I've been listening on repeat since last night. Love these tracks. But i could never get into his previous material either so I leave the rest to you sir
Wish Tongue Tied with Marshmello was on here tbh lol. I think Mathew should do more collabs and put them out. He's good with other artists too.
Wow yeah I didn't expect it be that poppy. It's good, feels kind of like what Anon was trying to do. Seems like it will grow on me more. And thankfully it's not an 18 song LP so easier to put on repeat.
His stuff is usually a hit/miss for me - collabs and song writing with other bands tend to always be good - but I'm still a sucker for the sad r&b. The Afterglow EP has still been untouched imo.-

The singles hadn't done much for me but this has so far has been great.
But man I can't be the only one who doesn't like long albums like this. Would much rather cut the fat or just be LP + EP or something.
