  1. I was expecting an even more radio friendly direction, but this is kind of surprising where they took it.
  2. I know they're a little too "inspired by" Erra, but I'm excited to see where they take their sound -- especially if their unclean vocalist is improving.
  3. Aww, bummer. They always managed to stick out from the rest of the genre imo. Perhaps I just got partial to them for reviving Search The City for one final album. Here's hoping the new work is just as good.
  4. Hype! Sure, all their songs can be samey and their last album didn't have as much replay as their debut for me, but I'm still excited.
  5. I'm not really an easycore fan, but for some reason I dig these guys. Looking forward to it.
  6. Nice, always good to see outside perspectives on bands, especially with ones that are long as this (relatively 'long' for the pop-punk genre).
  7. iirc one of the guitarists wasn't apart of The Cinema, so it was somewhat different people. But then I think he went and helped with The Cinema's second album, so I dunno. I wouldn't put it past them just for the name recognition, because the band would be pretty much done without that crew.
  8. Why don't they just release this under the name The Cinema??? But in all seriousness, this LP is shaping up real good. Perfect summer music.
  9. Yeah the chorus for Miracle just kills what could have been a solid song. I'm in the same boat. It's surprisingly...tame? The biggest surprise is how much the electronics have been mixed in. They used to be so jarring and in your face, it definitely could be off putting. But because they knew how to reign it in, or make it contagiously addicting, it had a certain appeal to it. Just listening to God's Plan makes it feel like any other synthpop band. Wouldn't say it's a bad thing, it's definitely a sign of maturing, but I'll wonder if the album will find a place like the last two.
  10. Going to keep expectations moderately low. Singles were good, but middle of the road for me.
  11. I was kind of waiting for a standard song of the album that didn't feel like a promotional single - just to get an idea of how the LP would sound like. Not too bad.
  12. Not quite the sound I was expecting for such a cute album cover.
  13. Not to mention they already said they'd break up if this album doesn't sell well....
  14. I have no experience with butt plugs, so forgive my ignorance, but are they not bendy? Wouldn't something bendy be the last thing you'd want as a knife handle?
  15. The productions on the singles wasn't very impressive for me, especially compared to how well it was done on Lumiere. I may wait until the 320 before I give it a fair shake.
  16. I think this would probably fall more under the post-rock tag than prog rock, but genre's aside, this is pretty interesting.
  17. Hammock may have already hit my yearly post-rock quota, but I'll have to give this a spin.
  18. Man I forgot about him. His album 'All Will Prosper' was a piano/acoustic guitar cover of classic war songs and it was the perfect study music back in the day.
  19. oof that chorus. Just feels so uninspired.
  20. Oh shit I forgot about this. Sounds a lot better than the debut song he had. Edit: Oh, he deleted the original video and kind of sounds like he updated the song. Huh, maybe he listened to the feedback.
  21. Man been waiting for this band to drop an LP. I liked the previous band I think 2 or 3 members were a part of and they've been trickling out singles here and there. Though I guess you could argue this RnB infused post-hardcore is starting to get over saturated, having a song with Johnny Craig probably means they're well aware of their niche. Plus this single is a pretty weak one to start off an LP - but I'm still excited.
  22. Not really a big fan of this sort of genre/sound, but the vocals are pretty damn good so I'll have to give a listen anyway
