  1. Oh man, I always forget about them for a few years, go back and find new material that is always a guilty pleasure. Hell if I know where the storyline is going tho
  2. Oh wow they're still around? It sounds like they transitioned from the heavy auto-tune alright, but I am hoping they stick to the goofy "trancore" that I listened to on occasion.
  3. Surprised Night Vibe$ wasn't on here. Something about the vocalist always gives me Alive in Standby vibes. The fact both are Asian is weirder too. It's good, not as strong as their debut, but good.
  4. The other songs are a little better. I'm not writing this off completely yet, got a bit of a Johari feel
  5. Saw the music video Rebirth randomly a few months ago and I just giggled at it - it's hard to take headbanging on a hurdy-gurdy seriously. And yet here I am a few months later, relistening to Evocation II until this new LP comes out.
  6. I just hope this one sticks around longer with me. Liked Leave Your Love when it came out, but then it lost it's luster quickly.
  7. Cautiously optimistic - the singles didn't do much for me, but their albums have always grow on me as a guilty pleasure.
  8. This had a lot of potential but after several listens it really didn't do anything for me.
  9. Oh man these comments aren't reassuring. Their follow up album never hit the highs as their debut did in terms of technicality or enjoyment for me... but I guess I knew they were going the poppy route..
  10. Kind of sounds like their filling the spot Palisades left. As much as I liked the singles from their last LP, when it came out it didn't really do anything for me. And the quality doesn't sound too miserable for me (aside from 2:50 on) - but then again, anything seems better than Neon's mixing to me.
  11. Never saw the face in the artwork before. Need to turn my contrast up lol
  12. At least it's not as cringy as their first single. Still don't think it's the right style for his vocals.
  13. They used to be one of my favorite post-rock bands -- I absolutely adore Hymn to the Immortal Wind -- but the last 2 (technically 3) releases haven't done it for me. Which is weird, because I don't mind the darker, almost black metal vibe they went for. Like just how could you not like something like this? (Headphone / Loud as fuck warning) https://youtu.be/s11DRPtqJpw But none of it stuck, it was all too samey for me. The fact that they refuse to stick to one style is encouraging as well as this single, so I'm cautiously excited.
  14. Man I'm such a sucker for EP's, so hopefully I don't overplay it.
  15. hahah I'm an idiot. I just listened to the EP after seeing this post...didn't realize it was a split. I was like "man, that's a really weird sound that I got from their other singles"....
  16. That's exactly how I felt when I first discovered them in 2013. Can't believe I forgot about them and haven't been keeping up in the years since
  17. iirc it was trademark / licencing issue. But yeah, super original lol. Also 4/5 (or maybe less?) members used to play in an equally unsearchable name of "Mirror:Mirror" whose EP seemingly fell off the face of the Earth. I think I have it on backup harddrive or something.
  18. I was being sarcastic, I just really didn't vibe with their new stuff
  19. I though they broke up after The Other Side...../s
  20. Couldn't look away from the video, pretty weird but I dig
  21. The first half is kind of boring, last part was solid. They have some potential, the vocalist gives me MTS vibes
  22. Their debut showed they had a lot of potential with their poppy posthardcore sound, but they followed up with a such a snorefest. The super flat mix didn't do anything to help it either This looks to be even more of the same Oh well, I guess I'll keep listening to the first album.
  23. Yes goood. Use the autotune to bring them in. I did the same with a friend for Breathe Carolina of all bands. Wait there was a first best of album? You'd think they just do a Previous Album + Recent Singles or what not instead of just mix-maxing w/ an album that just literally came out.
  24. Wait, are we trying to start drama? Uh screw you, The Question is clearly superior. But seriously, The Weak's End has held up so well over the years - I'm preettty sure the number of times I've listened to some of the songs is in the thousands by now.
  25. Err I mean, less drama and more shit talking a vocalist who I didn't even know their name only to find a plethora of posts/comments about abuse, battery, yadda yadda. But if he's stopping by, I guess the drama train is coming
