  1. I've gotten through half and I have no desire to continue, but I'll push on later.
  2. I've only listened once, but it might be better than their last LP. I didnt love The Mortal Coil, but I liked some songs and moments on it. This is about the same, but more of those moments. Perhaps the lyrics took a step back in most places though. I think this is above average metalcore, but essentially none of it grips me emotionally, nothing made me smile in awe of the music, and nothing took my breath away. It's listenable, it's mildly entertaining, it's slightly above average metalcore. If I listen more, I might identify with the album more in places and it could vibe with me more, but we shall see.
  3. In that thread the only negative thing I said was that the new vocalist was average but I did enjoy that song quite a bit on first listen and even more after then. I just think this is easily the weakest of the 3 after 5 listens or so
  4. Not one of their best but solid. Intro riff, chorus and bridge are cool but pretty standard in the verses. And even the cool stuff isn’t drastically unique. I hope the rumors are true that after this song, they’re doing a decent sound change. 3 albums of this is enough imo.
  5. I cannot understand one word this dude is saying during the clean vocals section, he’s so bad at singing. Other parts of the song are good, and his clean vocals aren’t bad when they’re kind ambient and in the background/simplified. But when he’s in the forefront, it’s nearly unlistenable for me. Gimme more like Dark.
  6. I mean, most rappers re-use beats for their mixtapes.
  7. Release - February 7, 2020 Genre - Hardcore, Metalcore Quality - MP3 320kbps CBR Tracklist: 1. Springs Download Support! Facebook / iTunes
  8. Telle just barely makes this track listenable with his vocal melodies and overall use of his voice, but yeah instrumentally, I could write this.
  9. Only got one listen under my belt but I'll start my contribution to this thread by saying that I enjoy the shoegazey tracks way more than the heavy ones, where the heavy ones just feel like they throw heaviness in your face without too much to get interested it. I still love most songs and I do enjoy the heavy ones though.
  10. I feel like a 4/5 song should have a more positive response than this
  11. I'm good at letting slow burns become favorites so that's fine by me haha. Ben's vocals were just so unique and Marcus is good, very good even, but he's just not special imo. Seems like he's good enough for the album to be great at least. Like no way this album is lower than a 7/10, most likely higher. But the band's ceiling with Ben was higher I think. Good to know that the best songs have yet to be heard though. And I love that the album is coming so soon.
  12. I do think Marcus' vocals are better here overall. "I lost my shadow" is a very good lyric with its imagery too.
  13. Song is still fire though ngl, dont get me wrong @Notalone @dewey duck
  14. It really is a shame that one of the best bands in the scene now has an incredibly average vocalist that adds nothing to the songs. Greyview instrumental when?
  15. This is very good. The song writing is great for pop rock, it's dark, the bridge is cool, and the lyrics are well crafted. I want a little more sonically but I'm sure the other songs on the album will be different. I feel like this could still be a Paramore song so I'd want the rest to stray from that if possible.
  16. I've listened to this album about 10x now, and I'm still loving it. I think this is overall better than Swimming, which was very surprising to me personally as I loved Swimming. I do like some Swimmings tracks more than a couple on here, but that's expected. I love this album, but it also makes me sad for many reasons. I think Mac was on the brink of a style change that could've been special. Neither this, nor Swimming, are mostly hip-hop albums, despite there being hip-hop songs and elements. But I think especially on Circles, some of the songs take up a strong pop music vibe, but it's a pop vibe that is very much Mac's own. It's mature, introspective and somber, while also infectious in its hooks and melodies. I think Mac was about to truly break out on the radio which is a shame. Took a bit for me to nail down my favorites, but I'd say they are: Complicated, Blue World, Woods, Hand Me Downs, & That's On Me. And I LOVE most of the other songs as well. How close and intimate Mac feels on Good News is a high point as well. I just think this album is varied in its sound, while maintaining a very strong production quality throughout. I also think Circles is home to some of Mac's best lyrics when it comes to songs of this style. Gotta go with an 8.5ish on this.

  18. I'm basically on the same page as @TheHunteraciaStrain
  19. Top 10 EZ, those track names are looking good too. Album art is simpler than I expected but I do like it a lot.
  20. Trippiest music video I've ever seen lmfao
