Tasty af, gonna be a great album

This is a good summary of the song tbh. I'm not a fan myself though, just doesnt entertain me sonically. Might hold a nice spot on the album overall, though.

Those are similar but not enough to say this isnt unique It's not objectively bad though. Especially if you like it dont overthink it

This album confirms that I will never be a real fan of this band. I cant see how you can rate this higher than a 6/10, and even then I'd struggle to do so; it'd be more like a 4 or 5 for me. I think there's only a couple of songs on here that aren't horribly average, those being: Bural Plot, Sleeptalk, and Gates of Ivory, and even they aren't amazing. Their last LP only had a couple songs that I could listen to as well, like Abandon. I think my main problem with Dayseeker is Rory. His voice is very average, with his cleans having essentially one single pitch to them, and it isn't a good pitch. His screams are solid, but they're not used super effectively. Rory is essentially your average metalcore fan who decides to write an album about his ex-gf, and that is Sleeptalk. I suppose Starving to be Empty was a decent track too thanks to the feature, which lets us get a break from Rory. If you like this, cool, good for you, but I'll probably only came back to a couple songs every so often, as has been the case for every Dayseeker album. 5/10.

For those of you that hate this, at least it's only 2.5min out of a 50 minute album.

Nothing groundbreaking, but but very solid. I love Dave as a vocalist. And obviously the lyrical content is touching.

Yeah this is my current stance. First half was nothing to write home about, but that second half made it oh so worth it. I think it'll fit quite nicely on the album overall too.

Issues out here dropping bangers and exposing homophobes at the same time. No choice but to stan.

I LOVE THIS BAND AND THIS IS AMAZING. Honestly one of my favorite bands of the last couple years. So happy that they made it on the ADTR tour.

Last album was my favorite of theirs, not that I thought it was amazing. If this song is any indication of the next LP, it should be my new favorite too.

With 8 being a reprise, it's essentially 7. Still hyped af though. Also a Thursday release is weird.

This sums up my thoughts pretty perfectly after 1 listen, including the 8/10 score. I'm happy they made this album though. We'll always have Stovall and Much Love for their more emo sound.

Imagine not thinking this was gonna be ~top 10 material from the singles alone spectacular release with a great run time. It remains to be seen if Thornhill's debut LP will top this.
