  1. A song can be radio friendly and not played on pop stations lol. Ever hear of Octane on XM radio? Also plenty of Australian radio stations play stuff like this. Get educated boy.

  4. The chorus reaaaally kills the momentum of this song for me, like every time. I’m hoping it’s one of the more radio friendly songs with this structure. I like it a good amount other than the chorus issue though.
  5. This is substantially worse than YNYA imo. The lyrics are soooo melodramatic, full of melodramatic metaphors. It gets tiring, and YNYA was more interesting instrumentally too.
  6. "Compassion is priceless in the truest sense of the word. It must be given freely. In abundance." - Steven Erikson, Memories of Ice
  7. I liked Some Rap Songs a lot. This is more of the same, but a bit worse and shorter?
  8. I do like this quite a bit after 2 spins. It maintains a steady sound throughout the whole record, but it is pulled off effectively, You gotta be in the mood for some chill shit, or just want good bgm, but I think it'd serve that purpose well. There just aren't a lot of exciting moments that make me love this album. I like Still in Motion, Parties, Ceramic Sky, Valley of the Moon, and No Reply as my favorites, but even my favorites all blend together a bit other than the sax on Ceramic Sky. This album will serve me well in early mornings or late at night, but won't crack my favorites of the year, and that's okay.
  9. Leaked Release - October 25, 2019 Genre - Hip-hop/Rap Quality - MP3 320kbps CBR Tracklist: 1. OCD Download Support! Facebook / iTunes
  10. Closer is the best non-single. Hallucinations still bangs, and Death of Me has so many plays for me this year.
  11. I think “soundscapes” is a good term to use for how they craft their songs. I’d definitely urge you to listen a couple more times though. This kind of metalcore only gets better with more listens and there’s a good amount to unpack here.
  12. I fucking loooooove this album. I've listened about 4 times already and it's easily top 10 on the year for me. There just aren't any weak points imo. They sought out to make an atmospheric, deep album and they did so perfectly. Coven is the worst song on the album and that was released so long ago. It starts strongly with Views from the Sun being a favorite, and Nurture a great track in it of itself, though not a favorite of mine. Then The Haze, and Red Summer are both spectacular. All The Light We Don't See is a nice little interlude to perhaps the 2nd best song on the album, Lily & The Moon. Human is a favorite too. Then Netherplace is an even better interlude to probably the best song on the album, Where We Go When We die. I just love the overall sonics of the album, the insane vocal performances, both singing and screaming, the array of lyrical topics and the maturity of their representation, and so much intricate guitar riffs that sail beautifully over the Aussie metalcore sound we've come to know and love. This is basically exactly what I wanted from them. I can't wait to dive into the lyrics a bit more as they get released online, and just really take in the minor accents of each song instrumentally, as well. There's so many little parts to gush about. Like in The Haze at around 1:53, the vocals end and the bass becomes more prominent in the mix, or at least sounds like it with the absence of the vocals, and there's this ethereal riff in the background that also builds up; I only wish that part continued for longer. There's just so many instances like that that make this album great. The Dark Pool gets better and better with each listen and I think it'll continue to do so for many listens. 9/10 at least.
  13. Never posted a concluding comment here but yeah aoty material for me. It'll be fighting with Alien. I do wish they went even weirder, like I hope LP4 (if it happens) is more like Flexin, cause I feel like they could flesh that sound out over an entire record to make something special. I'm very happy with what we got here though. Favorites in order: Beautiful Oblivion, Here's to You, Second Best, Downfall, No Problem, Drink About It, Flexin, Find Forever. Least favorites are Get it Right and Your Sake, with the latter being one I skip almost every time. Not a bad song, just not something I want to listen to usually. At least a 9/10 on this one. Issues
  14. I love this album about as much as I thought I would, and it's easily my new favorite tdwp record. I love allll the singing, and the moody instrumentals with the poetic style of vocal delivery works really well. I honestly like the non-metalcore moments more than the metalcore ones on this album. Favorites are: Chemical, Wave of Youth, Please Say No, Numb, Even Though. Solid 8-8.5.
  15. This might've been the best release today. Holy. Shit.
  16. I can still love new dgd even though it's samey, this is different enough. I love the 80s pop sample during the "River..." part.
  17. Had to vote Microwave, as I thought it was much better than any September release, other than VoV which was a close 2nd. Microwave will be top 10 for me for sure. My top 5 for September: 1. Microwave 2. VoV 3. SWS 4. Posty 5. Dayseeker
  18. Release - October 4, 2019 Genre - Indie Rock, Indie Pop Quality - MP3 320kbps CBR Tracklist: 1. Friends Download Support! Facebook / iTunes
  19. I didnt believe you but holy fucking shit you're right. I'll check it out
  20. Title track is actually my 1st or 2nd favorite with Downfall btw, it's amazing
  21. It really is. It surprised me how great it was.
  22. It's heavier than I expected tbh, and I was happily expecting very pop
  23. My most hyped release this year. Cannot wait to get home and listen. I know it’s gonna be something special.
