    It’s nothing, the answer is nothing. It’s a popular thing with the word core attached to it. If it was ever anything i’d assume that it would be bands or artists that make a form of “core” music exclusively for anime themes. Which still doesn’t make it a genre/style of music. This is another classic case of generic post hardcore trying to separate itself by making up a genre imo,
