Please tell me that was sarcasm August Burns Red is one of the shittiest live bands there is. Avenged Sevenfold and Lamb of God are good live bands. I'd go as far as saying even In Flames is a better live band than August Burns Red LOL

Haters gonna hate. I've loved everything August Burns Red has put out. It's all incredible work. I've seen them live like 5 times and every performance was fucking incredible. They're masters of their craft Ill say that, always coming up with a way to make the next album different and still amazing.

You must have mistaken them for someone else, they're great live lol. All incredibly talented musicians. If you don't like the music, thats one thing, but your opinion on their music doesn't affect their live performance, they are tight af live.

I used to love this band but now they just make me... Yawn. All their songs sound the same to me. Solid sure but I got bored after one album. Good song and band nonetheless for what they do. But to me their discography is one huge fucking song. Just my opinion however. Silent Planet kinda ruined just about every metalcore band for me with their last album. Nothing sounds quite as good anymore.

Same thing with Norma Jean. Their music isn't for me for some reason, but I saw them live with I think Silverstein? And it was one of the best live performances I've ever seen. So much energy and really working with the crowd. Hanging upside down from the rafters during the breakdown probably had a part in it.

I never got into ABR really but I do like a few songs. I could never get into them because their stuff sounded the same to me. Not saying that they're not good, but I just can't fully get into them. They are great live I have to say. I agree with you. Silent Planet has ruined everything for me. They're on another level

Their older stuff sounded more "like every other song" than the ones on Found In Far Away Places to me, but that's just my opinion. Great single nonetheless, can't wait for the album! Oh, and on the same day as new My Ticket Home! Hype!

Nope, not mistaken for someone else. Saw them live last year. I should have phrased it better though. The vocals are not good live, the rest of the band sure. The vocals were so far out of tune compared to their albums. Shows you what magic producers can do these days. As where with guys like M.Shadows and Randy Blythe they sound pretty good live compared to their albums.

 

Never said that August Burns Red is not talented. I am harsh on them for a reason. Messengers is still to this day one of my top 10 Metalcore albums. The albums after that were just not as great to me. Constellations and Leveler were listenable, but the last 2 records were quite meh.

You must simply not like ABR because i've seen them 9 times since 2008 and they've been absolutely perfect all 9 of those times. Easily one of the best live metal bands to ever exist.
