Well we've hit the half year mark, and with that, another month of great releases. Any of them make your AOTY list? Let us know by voting in our poll, and by commenting your favorites!

Still haven't listened to that, nor 90% of this list.

This was a huge month. I'd say a lot on here deserves the win.

Volumes, Currents, Sworn In, Sikth, Eidola, Hundredth, '68, 18v, Lorde, Aborted, etc.

It was probably the best month of this year so far for releases (September will probably be the next) a lot like last year's July, but I just listed shit that has most lasting value for me, there are more notable releases.

So.......this was a really hard month to score.....as I really really liked a lot of the releases.

For one.....I never thought that a Nickelback album would EVER be in my list of top albums.....but it is. Say what you will....but that album is the best thing they have done in....almost forever. That was one release that I just kept on listening to over and over and over. Not what I expected at all....but it happend.

I also liked....

Rise Against - Wolves

311 - Mosaic

Jay-Z - 4:44

Imagine Dragons - Evolve

All Time Low - Last Young Renegade

However, my absolute favorite from June wasn't even on the list.....and that was my local boys Authority Zero with "Broadcasting To The Nations!"

I have known these guys for 2 decades now, and they just keep getting better and better. This is one of the strongest albums they have ever released and I have played this almost on repeat for weeks now. Please, if you skipped over this one.....GIVE IT A CHANCE!! I promise that you will not be disappointed! It is an amazing punk rock record.

June was a great month for music. I voted for Currents because their album was amazing. Other releases I enjoyed were gems like Bilmuri, Dying Fetus, Curva Sur (local boys), Broadside, Iced Earth, The Gloom In The Corner, Dawn Of Ashes, Bodybag (second best release of the month), Gehtika, Passage and Dysmorfectomy. Lots of death metal albums were awesome this month.

1. AM/PM - The White Noise (love the diversity on this they were honest when they said they wrote an album were all the songs sound different yet still feels TWN)

2. Last Young Renegade - All Time Low (if it had 1 or 2 more upbeat songs it would probably be #1 but still they did that soft alt rock nice)

3. Selective Hearing - Our Last Night (didn't really get into Younger Dreams but this blew me away, especially Ivory Tower old OLN sound is nice)

4. Frame - Bilmuri (the other Bilmuri albums are nice, I just shuffle all of Johnny's stuff at work)

5. Different Animals - Volumes (never really gave them any attention before but Myke's voice feel soooooooo good on here)

(Currents is probably good, I bought the CD to listen in the car for my commute have yet to listen so I'm mentioning it because the single are sweet)
