Just one last thing before you have at it. This is also a judgement free zone. It should go without saying anyone that judges someone else for what they listen to is just a right dickhead.

Contradict yourself some more and old Nickelback is actually good. It's beyond easy to hate on a band everyone used to like and that became a huge success. With that said, their newer stuff is stale and uninspiring.

While I doon't like the idea of "guilty pleasures" there is some music that I used to like and now think what the fuck was wrong with me. These include Papa Roach, Limp Bizkit (although I still like The Unquestionable Truth and have to admit Wes Borland is an amazing guitar player), Rihanna and Nelly Furtado.
