talk about a sharp left turn in style, this is absolutely not what i expected

it's not bad I guess, sounds like they've been listening to a lot of The 1975, but idk it's so weird they're coming hot off the heels of an uncharacteristically heavy release with something so diametrically opposed to that LOL

yeah epic

Wow, with that last EP, i was expecting a totally different, dirtier sound. But hey, that's still pretty cool. Love that band!

Okay, OKAY. These guys are probably in my top 5 bands, and this song just further adds to those feelings. One of the reasons why I adore Can’t Swim so much is because they have this uncanny knack for completely flipping their sound on every single release, and somehow always remaining consistent in quality every time. This song is certainly no exception to that. It’s bleak, rainy, depressing, and damn near perfect. The droning, reverby guitars really push this song into a depressing tone, and Chris’s vocals sound so vacant and full of despair, is the best way. It’s ethereal in a way that they’ve never been before, and I love the poppy production touches all over it as well. That last chorus hits so hard and is so fucking beautiful man. Anyways, if this is the direction that they’re taking their next record, count me the fuck IN.

It's alirght I guess, I was feeling they were going to do slighty heavier pop punk material after their metalcore EP I guess not lol

Does anyone have info on an album?  I’m assuming there is one since the album art features a different title than the song.  Their (and Pure Noise’s) social media have no mentions of anything.  Other than soap for some reason.

I'm a fan of everything, despite the change, except the vocals are a bit too nasally for my tastes at times.

This is excellent. Sounds like Can't Swim, but with a more dreamy/shoegazy vibe. Seems like this band can do whatever they want with their sound and succeed at it. Can't wait to hear more!

5-song EP (titled Someone Who Isn't Me) due out in December of 2020 (I think it's December, anyway) on Pure Noise.  This is the 2nd track of the 5.

the weirdest thing about the guys, even when it's a new song the hook hits me like I've heard it 1,000 times and it's my favorite song.

I'm glad it looks like the heavier sound from the ep isn't going to be a staple, BUT I think they struck a perfect balance on this too won't pass so I hope there's SOME phc vibes on this new ep

These guys are the most versatile band in the scene. Everything they put out is fantastic. I love everything about this (the ending just hits different)
