Im a big ol' fan of this sound, the visuals for this is a lot brighter than I was expecting for gojira, really good production on those ghost notes are so sweet and tastefully done.

 

It is a lil on the repetitive side however there's just so much interstellar work put into the track that I'm finding it hard to give much critique about it

 

The piano at the end with that chord loop is proper awesome

I think the bridge is stellar, and on the whole the song sounds pretty huge and epic, but outside of the bridge I feel like there’s not much in the way of progression in the song (instrumentally, vocally or lyrically) and I think that REALLY detriments the track, particularly on repeat listens

 

I’m not a super fan of these guys either way, so I hope those that are get something out of this, but this strikes me more as a mid-album filler type track instead of a lead single

Ahh man some fresh Gojira in the mornin'. A bit standard on the riffs but the atmosphere is there for sure, and Joseph sounds a bit more drowned in the instrumental than usual, or is it just me?

Other than that I fucking love the bridge going into the outro, soliiiid track from the lads.

I love my Gojira but they didn't bring much new with this one. Nothing too technical, but i do like the somewhat Chorus they added with this one. Otherwise sounds like something that could've fit in a good 3 albums prior.

Yeah, it's certainly not the all encompassing song we hoped for. Hopefully it's just a small piece of a large puzzle. Sometimes their songs are accentuated by what comes before and after them. It being the title track give me hope, since it's never been the strongest part of their albums historically , in my opinion.

if you had actually listened to Gojira at all you'd understand that they use predominantly english speaking vocals.
