Logic - No Pressure (2020)

Other Releases by

This is an absolute return to form for Logic. I think his first few albums are god tier and then he spread himself too thin and started releasing way too much subpar music for his own standards. Last couple albums paled in comparison to older Logic. This is prime Logic. Talk about going out with a bang.... (I think he'll come out of retirement in like 5 years)

not even halfway thru this project yet, but this is definitely a much-needed return to form for mr. hall. i don't think any album he makes will ever top the impact that under pressure had, but this is definitely up there with the best of his discography already. years from now, this final album will be looked upon fondly by hip hop fans

I've never listened to Logic before, but this, this right here:

This is it Chief.

Can't wait to listen to the whole thing after I'm done with my list of pending albums.

I wasnt expecting this album to reignite the magic of my old Logic love, but it got waaaaay closer than I expected, especially after the disappointment of COADM, and really, no Logic album has been consistently great since like TITS/BT1 for me. But damn, a lot of these songs are really fucking good. Yes Logic has mostly ran out of things to talk about, but these songs feel complete like a lot of discography hasnt recently. Production and flows are just close to peak Logic and I feel like most people will be happy with this. Only songs Im not huge on are Celebration and Dadbod, and I wish the closer was an actual song, so that one too I suppose.

It's a big shame that I've given every single logic release a chance, and he's never impressed me beyond the first three YS mixtapes.

And it's so disappointing, just like this album. Stands easily at his worst work ever, he's bloated beats on some tracks, other tracks the beat just doesn't go well with the flow.

Not to mention the absolute repetition, still his biggest issue, and it's so bad here. If you hear one song you hear then all

The closer is literally just Alan Watts over a beat. That's all it is, he uses Alan a few times for "wow so deep" effect.

Logics creative well dried up a long time ago, and he can't even keep a consistent theme throughout any of these songs. Which also means the lyrics are just logic saying whatever works to fit the bar in the moment.

There's annoyingly choppy "skits" at the end of more than half the tracks, and bloated skits in others. It's a mess to sit through.

He can't even keep a consistent character either, in one song he'll go from this "sympathetic hero of the rap game" to "fuck you I love money and pussy" not a problem normally but he does this midsong, you can't have your cake and eat it too. Be consistent

I found no value in this release and that's the worst thing music can do. I didn't find it funny, good, or bad. It's just there, doing absolutely nothing for me.

I saw him on his coadm tour and he previewed Perfect at the show. I believe it was back in November but I was so stoked to hear it again. He snapped on that one 🔥🔥

After being a big logic fan for a long ass time this is the most beautiful swan song release for logic.

I know he's never been the GOAT, he's never been the most creative rapper, but even himself has stated that he's not a rapper he's a gamer, and for a guy that claims he isn't a rapper he's still beautifully talented, I literally am holding back tears half way through Hit My Line.

This album doesn't feel like a goodbye forever, it feels like a thank you and now onto the next thing, maybe he'll pick up the mic and start spitting again, who knows only time will tell.

This is arguably some of logics finest work.

9/10

This, RTJ4 and G-Eazy are all in contention for my Hip Hop / Rap AOTY.

Honestly this is what I was missing from Logic since TITS. This is a great closing statement on what made me love him as an artist when I first heard Under Pressure.

G Eazy came out of nowhere for me with that album. I remember listening to a Playlist on Spotify and his song free porn cheap drugs came on and I couldn't believe it was him. Mind you I only know G Eazy for his bangers but ESH is def a much needed breath of fresh air and appreciated change in sound.
