The covers aren't bad but not quite what I was looking for from the deluxe. Regardless, I'm excited to see what this band does next

Looking at his/her favorite artist speaks volumes in this case.

Live album when. They are literally better live which should be impossible given his voice.

Was really hoping for an instrumental or a b-side but we got cookie cutter re-imaginings and a Billie Eilish cover lol. No thanks dude. I'll wait for something new :/ thank you for posting.

Bloodsport is incredible, and his voice is obviously amazing on the covers, but it's not really what i was hoping for. I agree fully with @mR12 about them being better live, and that a live album is so painfully obvious for them to do that i cannot believe they haven't yet done it. His recording voice is so vulnerable yet powerful with crazy control that he has no right to sound as amazing live as he does, but he absolutely smashes it live, there's no way such an album wouldn't be incredible.

Oh well, i'll keep dreaming.

Can someone let me know what Track 14 - “Shelter” is a cover of (or if it is)? The other two covers were pretty obvious, but not sure who the original artist is for that one.

I wonder why I never listened to this. I mean, some of the songs were a bit too long for what they were, but they were nicely balanced with the shorter but more intense songs. I have no reason to complain. Really solid album.

Favorite songs: The Offering, Higher, Gods and Take What You Will.

I watched you burning every bridge, then blame the smoke for your eyes burning.

When Sundowning came out last year, I enjoyed it a bit, but thought there were flaws that stood out, like how some songs didn't hit as hard as others and the vocalist sounding off at times. Listening to this album more finally and it's a very emotional, amazingly touching journey. Often at times, I just get overwhelmed as fuck by songs, like "The Night Does Not Belong To God" and "Higher." Almost like a goddamn religious experience. Just something about this band brings these massive feels in songs that you don't quite get anywhere else and it makes sense, because their sound is very refreshing. It has the perfect balance ambiance and heaviness. The vocalist definitely is a big reason why this band shines and I love his set of vocal deliveries he brings to songs. I really look forward to what this band does next, they already killing it on their debut.

Also, does anyone else hear Deftones' "When Girls Telephone Boys" in "Gods?" Got the same exact rhythm patterns, which I don't mind.

I've only just checked this album out in the past week and oh my i feel like i missed the boat on this one. This is kinda of amazing. The singer has a beautiful voice and they somehow blend elements of pop, synthpop, metalcore(?) and rock all together so seemlessly.

i'm late but i'm happy to be able to listen to this now.
