She sounds awful. 

 

The other new singer from "Seen It All" sounded so much better and has been completely MIA in these last two tracks. 

 

Just as I get ready to settle in and enjoy some Jmann this girl has swooped in and taken over two songs now. 

 

It's a long album so I'm not completely writing it off yet but God damn this shit blows chunks and sounds nothing like Mushroomhead.

I don't even know who's in the band anymore, I find it harder to enjoy bands that consistently have lineup changes especially to the extent Mushroomhead have.

What a bummer. I use to absolutely love these dudes, even got their logo tatted, oh well I guess. I mean it's not a terrible track but I agree with the above opinions. This Jackie girl does not belong in the band (Full time anyways). But I guess that's the perks of being Skinny's girl. Still hopeful on the rest of it but not holding my breath. Thanks for posting.

What do you mean he's been MIA? He's very clearly on the chorus here and sings on the bridge toward the end. To another point, Mushroomhead have never tried to sound the same. They change their sound with each album. This is the way they've always done things. Otherwise it becomes boring Jeffrey Nothing even stated so himself when fans kept bitching about BSFUC and TRTB not sounding like XIII. Personally I love this track and I think Jackie compliments Stevie and J Mann very well. It brings something new to the juxtaposition vocal dynamic.

He plays an extremely minuscule role in this song. I didn't even notice him until about the third listen. He's completely overshadowed by Jackie who essentially takes over the song after a promising opening verse from J. 

 

I mean if you're into Evanscence or In This Moment I can see how you would enjoy this, me? I'm not into this emo type of music.

I dont really get the evanescence jab. In This Moment I can take it or leave it. I dont get any emo vibes. It reminds me of Treason and The Final Act from XIII and M3 respectively.

But this is the main problem you'll see with bands who dont repeat the same formula over and over again, it causes a divide. You cant please everyone. If they just made everything sound like XIII it would get boring and stale. I mean I'm surprised they even brought back the producer from XIII for this. I personally love when bands do something new and tap into an area of music they haven't before.

You think Shroom has had a constantly changing lineup? You should take a look at Motograter. They are a mess and have never had a consistent lineup.

Im intrigued to hear the whole thing though. 17 tracks and only three have leaked. The first single is the best of them to me. The others fall flat. I see where they are trying to go adding her with those type of songs but overall I dont feel she fits in at all. Hopefully they have some straight forward heavy songs on the album without her in the vocals.

Reviews have been mostly positive which makes me so surprised the full album hasnt leaked yet if it's already out in the wild.

Yeah it's ridiculous. The guitarist Nuke currently owns the name and is an absolute nightmare to work with/for to the point that the last lineup walked out right before they were supposed to hit the stage
