Asking Alexandria said their album wasn’t going to be delayed, but that the CD copies they were sending out might be.

I’m against pushing the release of your album back because to me it shows your more concerned with your first week sales. Right now new albums coming out are a huge breath of fresh air when your stuck at home stir crazy. Someone like Lady Gaga in my opinion did this solely on first week sales and worried

about her bottom line and being the topic of the news...with all she preaches she should be someone saying here’s some new music to ease your mind and stay positive

the 1975 isn't TBA, it's May 22

is this taken from Genius? there's no way to confirm the validity of this, as far as I've seen the band intend to give an announcement of the new release date next week.

Hatebreed was supposed to put an album out on May 29, now TBA. The title, art, and tracklist are available though.

FUCK! Bury Tomorrow is seriously delaying it 3 months?! That's insane. I definitely see the argument that it comes across about being worried about first week sales...and I also get it from the perspective of the artist, as well. But all in all, no way I'd delay. That's just not what I would do, and that's my opinion. Need music more than ever rn..and I was so stoked for Bury Tomorrow. Really a huge letdown that money was more important to the and/or their label here. Not even a digital release online and CD sales later? Just lame.

Pushing albums back is cowardly, the right thing to do is to release them on time to appease fans in quarantine

this was taken from an email with an updated release date received/posted by someone on r/the1975, telling them that that's the date the preorders are set to ship by

Hey guys, first post. Created an account to reply to this.

To be realistic, it is likely the artists above do think about their fans during said crisis. Some spent months, and some even spent years working on their albums, not knowing what was going to eventually happen. These artists did not spend months and years on an album just for it to flop, especially during the prime first-week.

Just wanted to throw in my ticket if anyone cares.

I do have one question though, are all of these even "confirmed" to be pushed back/cancelled due specifically to the pandemic?

I sort of doubt that, but I'm not going to check.

I don't get the point of delaying albums because of the virus. It's not going away anytime soon, might as well just release it unless they plan on waiting a year

Oof, the list keeps getting larger. Scary. I agree with the point of first week sales, but also the fact that we need entertainment during isolation. It’s cookie cutter simple. But y’all need to remember we still have a bunch of shit that’s been released that I bet most of you have not listened to fully yet. Give this “pandemic” time and in the long run it’ll be a lot more worth it when the album you’re waiting for releases. Take this time to research bands you’ve never heard of, try something new. Us as listeners/users cannot do anything about this, best case scenario is wait it out, unfortunately. Sorry but that’s the truth, and complaining about delays isn’t going to make you or anyone else feel better. Stay safe and stay healthy everyone, and keep your fav bands in your hearts and pray for their safety. <3

ADTR just aren't gonna release at this point lmao (not factual information)

On a serious note, they seriously need to get their shit together and release it already

It's already been MONTHS since originally planned.

movements said they were going to release their LP2 but due to COVID-19 it messed up their release schedule. there isnt any information on tracklist or anything but it is confirmed that it was delayed due to covid-19, yet theyve had the album finished and mixed since october and couldve atleast released a single, and they have not.
