Album is seriously 3/10. Wtf happened to this band?? Like seriously!!! I’ve been listening to Pearl Jam since Ten album. They used to be one of my favorite bands back in the day

I give a lot of later Pearl Jam a pass for being at least decent, but that stops basically at the self titled. Backspacer had a couple of okay songs but between that and Lightning Bolt they've truly lost any semblance of giving a fuck about what they do. I did like Dance of the Clairvoyants a fair bit but I'm not expecting much.

Singles were terrible, listening once and deleting it, just want to hear how low a band can go

I wasn't expecting much after listening to the single, listened to the rest of the album and it stayed with the single, nothing great and easily forgettable.

Honestly, I wasn't expecting anything, I didn't even listen to the singles.
It seems to me that the album starts well, "Who Ever Said" and "Superblood Wolfmoon" have something to highlight that doesn't make them go unnoticed, then comes "Dance of The Clairvoyants" and things get a little "meh".
Surely the hard hit comes with "Quick Escape", Pearl Jam doesn't complicate matters and makes a song that feels powerful, feels intense.
The problem with this album lies in "Alright" and "Seven O'Clock", the acoustic shit doesn't like it here, those songs are seriously unnecessary, after trying to regain the intensity of "Quick Escape" with "Never Destination" but just staying in the attempt.
"Take The Long Way" doesn't stop "exploding" and the following is more acoustic shit, well, "Retrogade" isn't such a bad song, but damn, "Comes Then Goes" really?
I was sleeping with that song and "River Cross" doesn't add anything to the album, I don't have something against acoustic songs, I like them, but if you're giving me something like "Quick Escape" and you give me this acoustic shit, many misalignments, I want more songs like "Quick Escape", not a moment of relaxation.
Obviously, Pearl Jam is not for making records as intense and powerful as its beginnings, but it seems to me that "Who Ever Said", "Superblood Wolfmoon" and "Quick Escape" are proof of what Pearl Jam can do nowdays.

I agree, the whole back half of the album is a relentless slog that almost never picks up the pace even a little. And those acoustic songs are totally faceless, they're easily the most boring and middle of the road shit Pearl Jam has ever written and I just desperately wanted the album to be over at that point. I was really hoping they'd take things in a different direction based on Dance of the Clairvoyants, because that song was actually a bit out of character for them and experimented a little, and it's been a long time since they pushed any of their own boundaries. Unfortunately, that's as far as it went, and I'm finally accepting that this band is completely spent artistically.

Fuck this album I refuse to listen to anything pearl jam after finding out that this album has 2 songs that directly bash our president! Sucks to because they have had alot of great song from back in the day! Oh well what's funny is that if a band had music bashing obama when he was president they would have been labeled racist and black balled but since its trump it's fine to do! Kinda fucked up to me but that's my opinion

@Thejiggler1234 Don't see how it's a bad opinion because I'm not taking a side of right or left I'm making a point that it's disrespectful to bash the office of the president no matter who is president. So unless your a socialist or communist then how is it a bad point that I made? I'm all for free speech no matter if I agree or disagree I just think it's disrespectful! Explain why you think it's a bad point I made that isn't anti Trump. I doubt you have one
